A new playtest build is out: the colony surface comes alive, and every colony grows into a small town around its buildings.
- Roads around every building: asphalt, sidewalk and a yellow dashed centre line, painted right onto the terrain. Demolish a building and the grass grows back.
- Street lamps, benches, trash cans, fire hydrants and electric boxes along the streets.
- Cars: two parked and two driving around every building, with right-hand traffic. Now and then one pulls into a free spot and another drives off.
- Citizens: 13 kinds of humans and aliens walk around the buildings, stop and chat with each other.
- New meadow vegetation with grass, flowers and trees, plus falling leaves, drifting dust and butterflies.
- Tanks leave longer tracks and flatten the grass they drive over. Everything grows back when you leave the surface.
- Grass density follows the graphics quality setting.
- Smaller tanks that fit between buildings. Buildings keep 8 units apart and a clear area around themselves, so the road always fits.
- No more building into water or right next to trees, for the AI and automatic building too. The colony hub moves to dry land if needed.
- Thousands of tiny, invisible rocks removed from the surfaces.
If you find a bug, please report it in the Discord #play-test forum or here on the Steam forum. Thanks for testing!
