1.0.1 Launch Week Update

Patch Notes 1.0.1

Hey everyone, 1.0.1 is out now and we’re looking to share some of the bugs we squashed, especially for our Steam Deck players, plus address any fixes that’s next on our plate.

• Fixed a Steam Deck video codec issue that was causing empty white videos to loop indefinitely.
• Fixed an issue where players would get stuck in Medusa’s area where you can’t leave her room.
• Added a training message to introduce The Impaler in the Retro Grounds.
• Added dialog between Drac and Bataboom to explain why the Van Helsings sound the way they do.
• Added Steam Cloud saves!

Things We’re Aware Of (And That We’re Addressing)

• Deluxe Edition OST - Aware some users are unable to access the OST. We are aware and have flagged this with Valve and should be fixed (fingers crossed!) within the next 48 hours.
• Steam Deck - While the fix allows players to experience Romancelvania on the Steam Deck, we are still optimizing the experience and have not yet formally submitted for Steam Deck green check certification, so please play at your own risk! If you just can’t wait to try it out, we recommend switching your graphics settings from EPIC to HIGH for now.

As a lean team with lots of love and ambition for our project, we want to make sure players are feeling heard (and continue to be heard) as we work on optimizing the game, so please keep the feedback coming. We’re looking to identify what’s most important for our players as we take in all the feedback, and plan to address what we can in future patches. It’s our goal to give you as much information as possible and be transparent about development on our backend.
