Update 1.0.5 and Our Immediate Roadmap!

Hey Pilots!

We have just launched update 1.0.5 which contains important hotfixes that are listed below. It's also time to share more about our roadmap for the next two weeks. Right now, our focus is on fixing bugs and improving the current experience, so please don't expect any massive new features over the next two weeks. That being said, there will still be some smaller new features coming your way.

Version 1.1.0

Early next week, we aim to deliver our first major patch. This will be Version 1.1.0, which resolves many bugs, blockers, and crashes. One issue that caused a lot of trouble was players getting stuck in the environment. We have an initial fix for this and are confident that it will clear up most of those problems.

Cargo & Crafting Times

The patch also brings changes to the Cargo system. You will now be able to access your cargo from anywhere, and we are adding 8 additional slots.

Why are we doing this, and couldn't we have just expanded the inventory instead?

Currently, cargo can be very frustrating. You run out of space in your Zipper, and the plane is too far away (or in the worst case, behind a loading screen… looking at you, Norleaf). Still, we don't want to abandon inventory management entirely, and we think it's important that players still have the next Zipper upgrade to look forward to. That's why we chose this as the quickest solution to implement. Will it stay like this forever? We don't know yet, but for now, it's a solid compromise.

We're also reducing crafting times so you won't have to wait as long to make materials!

Future Update: The Silo

In the following patch, alongside other fixes, we want to release the Silo. This should take even more pressure off the inventory situation. The Silo will be a fixed building that you can upgrade to get even more space. Additionally, crafting stations will be able to pull resources directly from both the Silo and the Cargo. This will eliminate the annoying hassle of moving items back and forth.

On top of that, there will be further improvements to building and the Ring Challenges.

Today's Changes (1.0.5)

Crashes

  • Fixed a crash tied to customisation pieces that could occur when landing the seaplane.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a blocker that prevented receiving the Wind Cassette if the player flew into the storm prior to having received the Empty Cassette.

  • Fixed being able to remove the basic Refinery by hitting "Undo" in the Builder menu without having anything else built. Will not affect Save Games where the basic Refinery has already been removed.

  • Fixed a blocker that made Boulderia's chains invisible.

Achievements

  • Fixed the trigger for the "Storm Chaser" achievement.

  • Fixed the trigger for the "What Meets the Eye" achievement.

Thank you so much for all of your feedback and please keep it coming! We hope you'll continue enjoying your time on the Limbo Archipelago as we roll out these improvements along with more changes in the future!
