Well hello there, today the fanatics update has been launched! This update focusses on some quality of life improvements based on feedback from the community. Don't worry more is planned in the future, this is just the start.

The fanatics update is about making the game more competitive and the new additions will show you this! The game is also under review at speedrun.com for official speedruns. This process can take up to 4 weeks, so once it gets approved there will be an announcement for it.

So let's start with the new stuff. This is what has been added:
- steam achievements!*
- steam leaderboards!*
- steam statistics (you can't see them all though)
- you can skip cutscenes by pressing spacebar
- shows version number when you win
- "Galaxy" -> a completely different boss battle

* You can access the achievements and leaderboards through for example your library. In there you can see your stats and compare it to the global stats. The leaderboards can be compared to your friends or globally, so have fun with it!

There were a lot of quality improvements that had to be made. Some of those you might recognize others you might not.
Updated:
- buttons in main menu are hidden instead of unclickable
- area select is 10 times faster, more efficient and doesn't repeat dialogue
- removed area buttons in tutorial
- efficiency calculator more accurate, easier to predict, and consistent
- secret islands boss mechanic slightly adjusted
- slight dialogue changes
- submitted for speedrun.com

There were some issues from which some were more annoying than the others. There are still quite a few that I want to fix. I haven't had the time yet to work on it though. I did fix the following:
- lighting in tutorial level
- starting tile in arctic is now more prominent
- game is back in full screen
- new formula for calculating difficulty
- heavily reduced chance of getting unsolvable puzzles (aka guessing, 50/50s etc)
- bugs when saving scores at certain levels

So that's all cool and exciting, but there are still some things mention worthy on my to-do list.
- game optimization for ray tracing, I want to add more accurate custom algorithms to make the quality better while reducing the load on your system
- easter eggs, I got a whole bunch planned for you, some really crafty ones! They will be rolled out over time, did you manage to find the current existing ones?
- localization based on player base however this is unfortunately not cheap so...
- DLC's, mainly to support me so that I can expand on the game.
- new visual effects
- reactive environments with more animals

For now this is it, I hope you all will enjoy it. There is more to come, but I am a solo dev so updates will be slow paced, thank you for understanding!
