The Fabricator · public · first seen
The biggest management-focused update to The Fabricator is now live.
This update builds on the existing production and Hands-On systems and adds much more depth to running the company itself.
Customer jobs now begin with a quotation.
Review the estimated production cost, choose your selling price and negotiate with the customer.
Quote too low and your profit may disappear. Quote too high and the customer may counter or reject the offer.
After completing an order, a detailed report shows:
Revenue
Material costs
Production costs
Tools and consumables
Scrap and handling costs
Total profit
Profit margin
You are no longer limited to customer orders.
Produce your own products, keep them in finished-goods inventory and sell them when you choose.
This adds a new production strategy alongside normal contract work.
Workers and automation have been expanded to make larger jobs easier to manage.
Machine operators can handle assigned production, the logistics worker moves parts between stations, and the manager can help keep production supplied.
You can decide how much of the workshop you want to operate manually and how much you want to automate.
The workshop now includes a company management system where you can review:
Active jobs
Completed orders
Profit and margins
Machine status
Workforce
Finished goods
Scrap
Order history
Your progress now continues outside the workshop.
Use the money earned from the business to improve your home and lifestyle, giving company growth a longer-term purpose.
The original tutorial has been replaced.
The first customer order is now a dedicated training job with no deadline.
It guides new players through the complete production process step by step:
Quotation → Cutting → Logistics → Drilling → Welding → Finishing → Profit
The goal is to make the first experience much clearer and faster while still teaching how the real workshop workflow works.
This update is focused on making The Fabricator deeper, easier to understand and more rewarding to progress through.
Thank you to everyone who has played the game and supported its development.
Welcome back to the workshop.
