After many years of living as outlaws, Raccoons recently approached civilized society. They might not have the best manners, but they can shoot straight and find food even in unexpected places.

New Unit: Raccoon

Raccoons aka Scavengers are now available as a new tier 2 unit in multiplayer matches. They are roughly as versatile as Squirrels, more sturdy, and as long as they are outside your territory, they slowly gather Food.

Stats: 27 HP, 4 DPS, gain 1 Food every 4s if they are outside friendly territory.

The only other balance change this time is concerning map generation: Natural expansions are more likely at a similar distance for each team and also slightly closer.

Other Changes/Fixes

• The income graph in multiplayer now shows the actual income in 4s intervals, so Farms only get counted when they finished building, Wolf buff on Pigs becomes visible, and Food gains from Raccoons also get factored in.

• Burrowing in online matches should reliably lead to the selected Mill.

• HP display is always rounded up (so if a Mill shows 2 HP, a Squirrel shot is certainly enough to finish it off).

• Unit Help (Main Menu) no longer crashes the game.

• Polish localization has been added (thank you, szenszej_!).

Community News

A few weeks ago, this year's Tooth and Tail Championship ended. You can still watch many of the matches, e.g. the Grand Finals and Bronze Match on ToothAndTailTV.

Especially these videos let some viewers see TnT for the first time or made others return to the game, so there is currently some relatively fresh meat in the community. If the veterans with hundreds or thousands of ingame hours scared you away last time you tried the game, you might want to give it a shot, again!

We also reset the ladder with this patch for those who enjoy the climb (although most of the activity recently was in unranked lobbies, also due to the Championship and mods for testing Raccoons and other changes).
