September 10 Update
Hi everyone! This update brings local-model connections, saved raised-hand Q&A, and several display and parsing fixes.
Local Model Support
- Added an LM Studio preset in AI settings for model servers on your computer or local network.
- Leave the API key blank if your local server does not require authentication. The server address and model name are still required.
- Custom connections support HTTP and HTTPS, with improved generation-request compatibility and longer response timeouts for local models.
- HTTP traffic is not encrypted. Use it only on trusted networks.
Saved Raised-Hand Q&A
- Added “Save raised-hand Q&A in story saves” to basic settings. It is off by default, and your preference is remembered.
- When enabled, new questions and answers are saved with the story for replay when you reopen the save. The current session resumes the original story without playing the answer twice.
- Turning it off does not delete previously saved Q&A or affect free mode.
Formula and PDF Fixes
- Fixed some escaped-formula errors, corrupted bold symbols, and missing characters at the edges of display equations.
- Formulas that cannot be typeset retain their text instead of showing a red rendering error.
- Included missing local PDF resources in the desktop app to improve parsing failures and font issues caused by missing resources.
Interface Updates
- Bilibili, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, QQ, and WeChat now use brand icons bundled with the app.
- Clicking the WeChat card opens a large QR-code preview. Removed external-link arrows from community cards.
- Fixed the study-room time-zone menu appearing behind the Pomodoro timer.
- Removed the unnecessary “Remote Stream” label from the music list.
