Gamepan 1.1.25: Steam Workshop Support

On Steam

The big one: Gamepan now has full Steam Workshop support. Share your workspaces and individual modules, find what others have made, and pull them into your library in a click. This update also adds tab categories for organizing large workspaces.

Steam Workshop

  • Publish a whole workspace. Share a full companion to the Workshop. The redesigned publish window shows a live preview of how your item looks in the store and exactly what subscribers get.
  • Publish a single module. Share just one module, like a map or a tracker, straight from its options menu.
  • Item types and Map Sets. Tag what you share (Full Workspace, Template, Map Set, or Single Module) from a Type dropdown. A Map Set must include a map; Templates ship blank.
  • Choose what gets shared. Toggle modules off to leave them out, and share a blank copy of trackers so others start fresh. Personal modules are flagged so nothing private ships by accident.
  • Browse and subscribe. Search the Workshop, sort by Trending, Newest, or Top rated, and see votes and subscriber counts. Items you already follow are marked.
  • Import in a click. Add a subscribed workspace to your library, or drop a shared module straight into a tab. Workshop modules also show up in the "+ Add Module" picker, searchable by name.
  • Add a Map Set into an existing workspace. Bring a downloaded Map Set into a game you already have (it lands under its own new category), or add it as a new game.
  • Update your items. Re-upload from My items with a change note; your title, description, tags, preview, and choices are pre-filled.
  • Subscribe to your own items. Follow and download your published items from My items to test them just like a subscriber.
  • References travel. Items linked from your builds, or by name in any note, are bundled automatically so those links keep working for others (with a per-share opt-out).
  • Works offline. With no internet, browsing and publishing are disabled instead of failing after a long wait; your already-downloaded subscriptions stay available.

Tab categories

  • Group your tabs into collapsible categories in the left rail. Add a tab or a category from the new "+ New" menu.
  • Drop a tab on a category header (or its tabs) to file it there, with a drop indicator showing exactly where it lands. Free-standing tabs are never forced into a category and can sit anywhere, including between categories. Each header has rename and delete buttons on hover, and categories travel with your workspace when you export or publish it.

Polish

  • Dropdown menus now match the Gamepan theme.
  • Imported maps stay hidden behind a locked panel that still lists their pin and zone names, so you can review a map before trusting it.
  • Export and Publish now share one Share menu in the workspace header.
  • The Publish and Update buttons animate while an upload runs, so you can tell it is working.
  • Fixed updating an item you follow serving the old copy on import; Gamepan now refetches the new content first.
  • Pending edits are saved before an upload starts, so freshly typed notes are always included.
  • Redesigned import dialogs: adding a subscribed item shows what you're adding plus a searchable, cover-thumbnailed list of your workspaces.
  • Browse invites you to be the first to publish for your game when it has no content yet.

Gamepan stays local-first, with no accounts and no subscription. The Workshop is the one optional, opt-in way to share.
