For each round, you'll see the country, its flag and the scrambled letters of its capital. Use the available letters, type your answer and try to find the correct capital before moving on to the next country.

The goal is simple: score as many points as possible before time runs out.

How to Play

• Select Capitals from the main menu.

• A country and its flag will appear.

• The letters of its capital are displayed in a random order.

• Type your answer and validate it.

• Correctly placed letters are highlighted to help you improve your next attempt.

• Find the capital or Skip it to move on.

• Keep going until the 180-second timer reaches zero.

Score System

Accuracy matters.

The fewer attempts you need, the more points you earn:

Skipping a capital gives 0 points, but allows you to quickly move on if you're stuck.

New Steam Leaderboard

Capitals Mode has its own dedicated Steam leaderboard.

Your best 3-minute score is recorded separately from Normal, Jumbo, Hangman and Multiplayer modes. Your leaderboard entry also keeps track of how many capitals you found and how many you skipped.

20 New Steam Achievements

The update also introduces 20 new achievements dedicated to Capitals Mode, covering progression, mastery and special challenges.

All achievements synchronize directly with Steam.

Available to Everyone

Capitals Mode does not require the Capitals DLC.

The game mode itself is available independently, while the existing World of Capitals DLC remains purely cosmetic, adding its visual content without affecting gameplay.

Your existing cosmetic DLCs remain integrated with the new mode, while capital images stay hidden until the correct answer has been found.
