New Features
Mod Support and Management Improvements
Mods can now add new behaviors and features, and the “Mods” tab in Settings has been improved so you can manage them all in one place.
- Modding now supports file-based changes in addition to images and voices.
- Workshop content and mods you add manually now appear in a single list.
- Drag items in the list to change their load order. If multiple mods change the same content, the mod lower in the list takes priority.
- Changes to enabled mods and their load order take effect the next time you launch the app.
- Unchecking a Workshop item you are subscribed to keeps its downloaded files.
Bongo LUMI Game Mode
“Bongo LUMI Game Mode” has been added so you can keep Bongo LUMI over your game while you play.
- Clicks pass through Bongo LUMI to the game underneath.
- Bongo LUMI becomes translucent when you hover over her, letting you see what is behind her.
- You can turn it on or off from Bongo LUMI’s right-click menu, the system tray menu, or the “LUMI” tab in Settings.
- You cannot drag or right-click Bongo LUMI while Game Mode is on. Use the system tray menu or Settings to turn it off.
- Turning off “Bongo LUMI Mode” also turns off Game Mode.
- Default: Off
Shake to Drop Credits
You can now pick up LUMI and shake her quickly from side to side to make credits drop.
- Give LUMI a good shake to drop 1–2 credits.
- You can make more credits drop after 5 seconds. There is no daily limit.
- This applies only to LUMI, not Workshop characters.
- Credits obtained this way do not count toward credit achievements.
Call Another LUMI
“Call Another LUMI” in the system tray menu has been improved so you can call several LUMIs in a row.
- The menu stays open after each click, so you can keep calling more LUMIs.
- A label such as “Called (+2)” shows how many you have called from that menu.
A Goodbye Before Quitting
Choosing “Quit” from the system tray menu now lets LUMI say goodbye before the app closes.
- If several characters are on screen, they all perform a goodbye gesture.
- The goodbye bubble and voice play only once, from one character.
- If your selected “Voice pack” includes a goodbye line, you will hear it as well.
- In Focus Mode, or when a full-screen app is in the foreground, the app closes immediately without a goodbye.
Keep the Settings Window on Top
“Keep settings window always on top” has been added to the “About” tab in Settings.
- Turn it off to keep Settings open while working in other windows in front of it.
- The settings window now appears on the taskbar, so you can bring it back to the front even when it is behind another window.
- Your choice is remembered the next time you launch the app.
- Default: On
Run Without Steam
You can now launch LUMI without Steam running on a PC where you have already launched the app through Steam.
- This is available on the same PC for 30 days after a successful launch through Steam.
- With Steam closed, run “Little LUMI.exe” from the installation folder.
- You can check the “Running without Steam” status on the “About” tab in Settings.
- The Workshop is unavailable while running without Steam. Achievements and related counters from this session will not sync to Steam later.
- If you launch the app with Steam running, closing Steam during that session will also close LUMI after she says goodbye.
LUMI’s Alarm Alert
LUMIs now run around to let you know when an alarm goes off.
- At the alarm time, LUMIs run around in an alarm animation for 20 seconds.
- The alarm animation stops when you direct LUMI to do something else, such as patting her or picking her up.
