World of Eggs: Idle Adventures · public · first seen
The new withdrawal system introduces two additional rules:
Withdrawing in-game currency requires an active Runepass subscription.
After withdrawal, the currency is subject to a seven-day restriction on transfers and trading on Steam.
These changes are already in effect.
World of Eggs is being developed first and foremost as a game. The economy, trading, and interaction between players are important parts of the gameplay, but they should not turn the game into a platform for uncontrolled money-making, speculation, and the withdrawal of valuables.
We are not against fair trading or making a profit within the game's economy: these are intended parts of the game. The restrictions target users who view the game solely as a way to extract real-world value and use bots, additional accounts, concealed links between accounts, bulk transfers, market manipulation, or other violations to do so.
This kind of activity harms regular players:
it increases the amount of currency withdrawn from the game's economy;
it creates artificial price fluctuations;
it allows certain groups to influence the market;
it reduces the value of fair players' resources and achievements;
it turns game mechanics into tools for speculation.
Our goal is to keep the economy part of the game and prevent it from becoming an uncontrolled marketplace.
Server maintenance, game development, customer support, and combating violations all require ongoing resources.
If a user regularly takes valuables out of the game that can be sold through Steam, we believe it is fair for them to also support the game through an active subscription.
This requirement also raises the cost of creating temporary accounts used solely for mass farming and currency withdrawals. It does not interfere with normal gameplay, in-game trading, or progression without a subscription: the restriction applies only to withdrawing currency to Steam.
An active subscription alone does not establish that all of an account's actions are legitimate. Rule breakers can also purchase subscriptions, use linked accounts, or try to quickly withdraw and transfer currency before the system detects a violation.
The seven-day period serves several purposes:
it prevents withdrawn currency from being immediately resold or transferred;
it makes it harder to quickly distribute funds between linked accounts;
it makes it harder to conceal the origin of currency through chains of transfers;
it gives automated systems and the administration time to investigate suspicious activity;
it allows the consequences of a violation to be contained before the currency reaches a large number of other users.
Without this period, currency can pass through several accounts in a short time and reach buyers acting in good faith. Investigations then become much more difficult, and any action taken may affect people who were unaware of the currency's origin.
The restriction does not take away the withdrawn currency. It remains with its owner, but cannot be transferred or sold for seven days.
An advance announcement would have created a window in which rule breakers could withdraw their accumulated currency in bulk, distribute it between linked accounts, and sell it before the restrictions took effect.
In this case, advance notice would have put the market at risk and reduced the effectiveness of the measure itself. That is why the change was introduced without a transition period.
We aim to announce changes that affect balance and normal gameplay in advance. However, security and anti-abuse measures may be introduced without prior notice if publishing the information beforehand would make it possible to circumvent them.
The administration reserves the right to:
reverse transactions linked to violations;
ban the accounts involved;
confiscate currency and items obtained in violation of the rules;
restrict access to trading and withdrawals.
Each case will be reviewed based on the available evidence. Normal trading, earning in-game profits, and legitimate use of the market are not violations in themselves.
We understand that additional restrictions may cause inconvenience. However, we consider them necessary to protect fair players, maintain economic stability, and support the game's long-term development.
