🛠️ Hotfix 1.0.2 is LIVE!

On Steam

Hello Again!

We have continued to work on bugs that you have brought to us. We did have some lingering issues when we released Hotfix 1.0.1, however, we didn’t want you to wait any longer for the fixes that we did make. We knew we were going to keep working and work on remaining issues. With the communities help to identify debugging some of those pesky problems and new bug reports after Hotfix 1.0.1, we think we have really got the game in a more stable place. Some bug fixes we want to highlight are:

  • The Humvee’s showing up with no weapons

  • The “Try Try Again” achievement not triggering

  • An AI alert range bug not working properly for some silenced weapons. (We made sure to do an additional pass to verify all suppressors are working as intended)

That being said, we also wanted to take a moment to provide more information about the design choices for how silencers work in the game. We have seen many conversations and points of feedback for how people think they should work. So we wanted to clear some of that up.

  • Many games reduce gunshot audio to a soft "click" or a whisper, letting players fire nearby enemies without alerting anyone next to them. Silencers in Dagger Directive work closer to how they do in the real world. It doesn’t completely remove the sound from happening, it just muffles it. Realistically, you would still hear the mechanical clicking and movement of the gun's internal parts, like the firing pin hitting the primer. The AI’s reactions were designed so they have a significantly reduced chance to hear your weapon when you shoot a silenced weapon in their vicinity. This felt like the best option for the games play style.

We are continuing to look at your feedback and reports while we works towards the next update.Below is the full list of adjustments and bug fixes included in this hotfix.
