Paint The World Demo · build 25092478 · published
Catch-up notes covering everything since v0.499.
Aim Lock (middle-click) - paint with a perfectly still camera. Move the mouse to slide a reticle around the screen instead of turning the view. Ideal if first-person movement makes you queasy.
Steam Deck touch painting (experimental) - touch the screen to paint right where you point, and look around with the stick.
Join our Discord - a link right on the title screen. Come share what you've painted and ideas for the game!
Menus, HUD, controls, scenery, and achievements are translated (draft translations). Pick your language in Options - it offers a quick restart to apply it everywhere.
Retuned so they're earned across real play instead of the first few minutes, with tougher coverage, stroke, and erasing goals.
A world now counts as fully painted at 70%.
Bucket fill stays on the surface you clicked instead of bleeding onto neighboring ones.
Redesigned Controls screen - every control in its own clear, labeled box.
Right-click delete now removes exactly what you're aiming at, even tall objects like trees and lamp posts.
The tutorial no longer lets you jump into a world before it's ready.
New-player help: a drop-cloth explainer, a "mouse wheel resizes the brush" tip, and cleaner on-screen messages.
Happy painting! 🎨 https://discord.gg/KnsXU7qerQ
