Gamepan 1.1.23

Zone labels and icons that adapt to any shape, cleaner editors, and the ability to hide individual pins and zones.

Smarter zone labels and icons

  • Zones get their own size controls. The map settings (the cog) now has separate Size and Label size sliders for zones, independent from pins, so you can tune boundary markers without touching your location pins.
  • Icons sit properly in any shape. A zone's icon and label now place themselves in the roomiest spot inside the zone, so they land inside L-shapes, crescents, and big wrap-around areas instead of drifting onto a border or into an empty notch.
  • Small zones stay tidy. When a zone is too small at the current zoom, its marker shrinks to fit inside the border and the label tucks away until you hover the zone. Zoom in and it grows back.
  • Hover the whole zone to see its label. In "show on hover" mode, hovering anywhere over a zone now reveals its name, not just the small icon. Label-only zones stay hidden until hovered too, instead of always showing.
  • Reset a moved icon. If you have dragged a zone's icon into place by hand, a Reset button in the zone editor snaps it back to the automatic position.

Cleaner pin and zone editors

  • The pin and zone editors now share one design: a draggable header with lock and hide, the same color swatches, and a consistent Delete and Done footer, so both feel like the same tool.
  • Pick colors faster. The color picker now shows the default palette swatches alongside the wheel everywhere it opens, including on categories.

Hide individual pins and zones

  • Hide any single pin or zone. Use the eye button on its row in the side panel, or the toggle in its editor. Hidden items drop into the Hidden drawer at the bottom, grouped under their category.
  • Hiding is independent of categories. If you hide a pin on its own, then hide and later show its whole category, that pin stays hidden just as you left it.
  • Manage hidden items in the drawer. Expand a hidden category to reach the pins and zones inside, restore them one at a time, or delete them without un-hiding first.

Organizing your map

  • Category rows are cleaner. Each category now has a single options menu (the three dots) for color, lock, hide, rename, and delete, so the row is no longer crowded with buttons. A shared color swatch still sits inline for quick changes.
  • Sort zones like pins. Drag zones to reorder them within a category or move them into another category, right from the side panel.
  • Clearer drag targets. Moving pins and zones now shows the drop line where the item will actually land, including when you drag across the boundary between pins and zones.

Fixed

  • Drawing a zone in the overlay works now. Closing a freeform zone in the overlay no longer makes it vanish; your new zone sticks.
  • The category options menu now opens in the overlay, not just the main window.
  • Adding pins quickly is reliable. Dropping several pins in a row no longer risks losing one to a save collision.
  • Escaping a quote or heading. Pressing Enter on an empty line inside a quote or heading now returns you to a normal line instead of trapping you in the block.
