Exo's CYOA · public · first seen
This release brings automatic saving of your adventures, starting equipment for newly recruited party members, and a solid dose of stability work around traveling to new locations and turns with multiple actions.Auto-Save
New Auto-Save switch in the options, enabled by default
Your adventure is saved automatically after every completed step, named like AutoSave 1 <adventure name>
Up to three auto saves are kept per adventure, newest first — the oldest one is retired
Party and Characters
New party members can arrive with generated starting backpack items — the join dialog asks via a toggle, on by default
The party editor shows a "Create starting backpack items" button when a member carries nothing; it only fills in members with empty packs and never replaces items they already own
Backpack items now get more practical, functional names (e.g., "Regular Healing Potion")
Companion invite suggestions now only consider NPCs actually visible in the current location, with their full description — so suggestions fit the place you're standing
Traveling to New Locations
NPCs you explicitly mention as traveling with your party now reliably carry over into the new location
NPCs and items are no longer re-created (duplicated) in a new location when they already exist back where you came from
The game now knows which entities belong to the location you just left, so references and memory entries point at the right place
Placeholder names ("n/a") can no longer be mistaken for real entities to create
Actions
Fixed a bug where actions like talking, fighting, casting spells, or using items could get stuck or drop when several of the same kind happened in one turn — each action is now narrated in proper sequence
Entities created and moved within the same turn now show up in the interface instead of silently vanishing
Bugfixes and Misc
Log messages for changed conditions, dispositions, interaction states, hidden flags and danger levels now show only the new state instead of "before → after" (health changes still show both values)
Fixed an occasional internal error while updating an adventure's initial state
Dropped the internal "introduced" tracking flag on entities, making state handling across turns simpler and more reliable
Updated the underlying framework to newer releases
