Hello Directors,
This is a major update for Realindustry, and especially for the demo.
The full version of the game has received another important pre-release polish patch based on early feedback from creators. These changes matter a lot for the final release build, but most of them are not something regular players will directly feel yet.
Until now, the Realindustry demo was still running on version 0.5.0. That build was very old compared to the full game, and it no longer represented what Realindustry had become. Players were still running into problems, rough interfaces, balance issues, and confusing moments that had already been fixed or redesigned in the full version.
That was my mistake.
Realindustry is a complex game, and the demo is extremely important. For many players, it is the only way to understand whether this kind of deep industrial simulation is for them. So the demo needs to show the real game, not an outdated shadow of it.
Today, the demo has been updated directly from 0.5.0 to 1.0.0: the same near-release foundation that the full game will use when Realindustry launches on September 22, 2026.
In short: almost everything that matters to the player experience.
Recipes and research have been heavily reworked. Production chains are now more logical, better balanced, and consistent with the full version.
Many resource, material, and building visuals were updated. A large part of the game now looks closer to the final visual direction.
The interface has been significantly improved. Many screens are clearer, more readable, and easier to use, especially during long planning sessions.
The Operations Board has been massively expanded. Project planning, search, better navigation, recipe pinning, improved animations, and many workflow improvements are now part of the demo experience.
Automation is much easier to start using. Automation scheme templates have been added, electronic automation has been improved, and several confusing parts of the automation UI were cleaned up.
Production and research navigation are clearer. Recipe hierarchy, unlock markers, tooltips, and several “where do I go next?” moments have been improved.
There are many, many bug fixes and QoL improvements. More than 100 pieces of feedback from players and creators across different channels were reviewed and implemented across this update cycle.
The full version also received another focused pre-release update. This includes creator-feedback fixes, automation scheme templates, improvements to resource tooltips and almanac behavior, visual fixes, recipe hierarchy fixes in the production interface, project creator search, and several improvements around the Operations Board.
Most of this is preparation for launch, so I do not want to over-explain it as if it were a separate player-facing content drop. The important thing is simple: the release build is getting cleaner, clearer, and more stable.
Realindustry has changed enormously since the old demo build.
The game is still complex. It is still about real industrial chains, real materials, deep automation, and the long road from basic tools to a Hyperdrive Engine. But the path through that complexity should now be much easier to understand, plan, and enjoy.
This is the largest demo update in Realindustry’s history, and most likely the version of the demo that will stay closest to the launch experience.
If you tried the demo before and bounced off it because something felt unclear, rough, or outdated, this is the right time to give it another look.
Thank you to everyone who sent feedback, reported problems, recorded videos, wrote reviews, or simply got stuck and explained where the game lost you. A solo developer cannot see every friction point alone, and this update exists because many people took the time to point at the parts that needed work.
