Since there is no standard tutorial, Red Alerts will now flash to draw your attention to them. The flashing will stop once clicked. The 'Basics' tab in the Data Center also includes this info.

You can still click the system recharge toggle, but now you can also turn it on and off using the W key or UP arrow key (mentions this in its hover prompt).
