FEATURES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Send a scout below your front line to chart the floors ahead of you. Pick how deep to sound: the frontier (one floor down, 2 weeks) can be run solo, but two or three floors down (3 and 4 weeks) needs a garrison whose watch holds the front to escort the scout. While they're below, that wall runs bare and its decay timers keep ticking — a near-reclaimed floor can fall before your scout returns. On a successful return, the surveyed floor's boss finally has a name on your Survey record.
Deeper surveys carry more risk (roughly 30% / 40% / 50% chance of being driven back by depth), a garrison escort shaves 15 points off that, and a higher-skilled scout lowers it further.
NOTE: This is an early feature, more to come on this front.
Hold for Descent: when your standing thirty are floor-ready but one or two are still out on a quest, raid, or job, you can now earmark the descent. The board keeps your intent and flags the run ready the moment the whole force is home — it never launches the fight for you.
Enemies on quest boards now come with individual traits, so the same monster can spawn tougher or more exposed than its kin. Watch the Known Opposition badges: a red-tinted trait means that creature resists a damage type, a green-tinted one means it's extra vulnerable — match your party's damage to the weaknesses and your success odds shift with it.
Some monsters now fight with real kits instead of just numbers. Basilisks telegraph a petrifying gaze — step off the marked ground before it lands. A dire wolf splits off a mirage and only unleashes its killing charge while the copy lives, so kill the mirage to disarm it. A lich withers the healing your party receives while its skeleton archers' bleeds bite harder — burst it down and strip its wards rather than trying to out-heal it. Goblin shamans now actually heal their warband, so put the shaman down first.
NOTE: More to come on this front, as well ;)
A new Bestiary tab catalogs every creature you've faced. Filter by danger, damage element, or region; open a per-creature dossier whose power estimate unlocks after 3 kills and whose skills, weaknesses, and resistances unlock after 6; and see a ranked list of your guild's top slayers. Undiscovered creatures show as locked silhouettes so the collection stands even at zero kills.
Many more monsters are on the way.
A new finesse off-hand crafting line — parrying daggers, throwing knives, a duelist's main-gauche, chakrams, hunter's and ranger's quivers, and ranger maps — gives dexterity, agility, and speed builds dedicated off-hands at last. The master-tier Stormfeather Talons unlocks at Tower Floor 80.
The Temple can now purify tower crystals and raw mana into inert stock for 20 gold per tainted unit, once you've uncovered the crystal network. Batch it by hand or set it to auto-cleanse down to a threshold each week to keep breach pressure in check.
The Proving Ladder gets its own tab showing your rating, rank, peak, record, active grudges, and every rival's live Elo. Declaring a ladder challenge now asks for confirmation, since the entry fee is non-refundable.
Hall of Fame legends can be filtered by induction era and viewed on a generation timeline (50-year generations). Legends inducted before eras were tracked are grouped under "Unknown."
Owners of the Shield of Hiltcrest book DLC can now read it in-game from the main menu on Steam desktop, and send it to their Kindle — the in-game book button finally opens something.

BALANCE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The raid board now spans easy-to-hard targets even at high renown, so a weakened guild always has beatable raids on offer (easier raids pay out proportionally less).
A garrison holding a floor that gets reclaimed now falls back with the front line — it no longer collects hold renown or military requisition points for floors it no longer holds.

QUALITY OF LIFE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Trade auto-balance can now top up gold only instead of adding materials, and the choice is remembered across sessions.
The gold auto-balance no longer double-pays if you click it twice.
Sell unwanted gear in bulk from the same readable grid you salvage in — a Salvage ⇄ Sell toggle keeps your filters and selection, and shows an accurate gold total that matches the real payout.
Bulk sell and salvage now skip vaulted, unique, and relic-slot items, so a Select-All can't accidentally sell an irreplaceable legendary.
The quest and raid board remembers your chosen sort key and direction across reloads.
Un-dismissing a bonus objective now sticks across tab switches, and a party set to auto-accept bonus objectives also pre-accepts them when you pick a quest by hand.
The training roster hides fully-maxed trainees by default (heroes still owed a training Drive stay visible); untick to show them all.
Space or Enter dismisses construction-complete alerts, and Enter/Space step through the signing, hiring, and graduation-ceremony screens.
A new Settings toggle, "Reduce interface effects," turns off perpetual glow/pulse/shimmer animations and background blur for smoother menus on weaker hardware.
Faction service, correspondence, and oath text is easier to read against its background.
The muster's "awaiting orders" rail now wraps into rows instead of overlapping into one cramped strip, and can be filtered by role (Tank/Melee/Ranged/Healer/Support).
The in-game difficulty editor is split into category tabs so it fits on screen, and the Descend button stays pinned within reach as you scroll the loadout.
Adventurer detail lines in the muster roster no longer break mid-word, and the roster column is wider.
Raid battle reports now crown a per-squad MVP and a single overall raid MVP.
Headhunting with a higher-tier scout now guarantees a higher minimum potential for staff like Overseers, not just adventurers.
The Commander's Standing Orders now sit above the Commander's Ledger.

BUG FIXES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Fullscreen no longer clips the bottom of long pages on shorter (sub-1080p) displays; tall panels now scroll properly.
The Tower Survey's front-line boss renders as a framed art banner with its full name instead of a stretched, truncated stamp, and council portraits show clean round rings.
The Survey names the frontier boss only when that exact floor is actually charted, instead of leaking it whenever any deeper floor was surveyed.
Retired legends show their own name in the Hall of Fame detail view instead of a generic fallback.
Clearing the crystal-purify threshold field keeps your previous threshold instead of snapping to the most aggressive setting.
