A major new chapter for LIVORA

This is one of LIVORA's biggest updates yet.

Three major new simulation systems have arrived: Generational Gameplay, Living Economy & Labour Market, and Real Relocation & Geography.

Alongside them, we've completed a substantial improvement pass across Command, Today, Calendar, Day Planner, Smart Time, housing payments and consequence feedback.

The goal is simple: LIVORA should keep its depth, but that depth should be much easier to discover, understand and actually use.

Your Life can now continue through generations

A Life no longer has to end when your current character dies.

If you have eligible adult children, you can now Continue the Family and choose one of them as the next playable generation.

This isn't New Game+ and it isn't a fresh character with a familiar surname.

Your child already has a Life.

Their education, career, home, partner, children, finances, location and important experiences continue with them.

How they were raised can also remain part of who they become. The times you showed up for them, encouraged their independence, supported them, let them down or shared major family experiences can continue to matter later in their Life.

Your previous character remains part of the family's history, while inheritance and probate continue through LIVORA's existing Legacy & Estate systems.

Over time, you can build a genuine Family Line spanning multiple generations.

And critically, the world doesn't reset when one generation ends.

The economy is now alive

LIVORA now has a persistent Living Economy & Labour Market that changes over time.

Economic conditions now include changes to things such as:

  • Inflation

  • Interest rates

  • Unemployment

  • Hiring

  • Wage growth

  • Career-sector demand

  • Housing pressure

  • Borrowing conditions

That means the same decision can feel very different depending on when you make it.

A strong labour market may create more opportunities and better salary pressure.

A downturn may make changing jobs harder, reduce hiring or increase redundancy pressure.

Higher interest rates can improve savings returns while making mortgages and borrowing more expensive.

And different industries can behave differently from the wider economy. Healthcare might remain strong during a slowdown while another sector becomes far more competitive.

The new Economy & Labour Market experience lets you understand the wider picture through:

Overview · Work · Housing · Your Life

But the most important part isn't simply seeing economic statistics.

LIVORA now explains what those conditions actually mean for your Life — your work, your home, your savings, your borrowing and the decisions in front of you.

Where you live now genuinely matters

Real Relocation & Geography introduces a wider LIVORA world made up of distinct places with their own strengths, weaknesses and character.

You can now explore locations including:

Northport · Westbridge · Harbour City · Seaview · Cedar Vale · Riverside · Northfield · Old Town · Willow End · Millbank · Ashdown · Eastbank

Some offer stronger career opportunities.

Some have more affordable housing.

Some are better connected.

Some offer a stronger family environment.

Some put you closer to the people you rely on.

Others offer a very different pace or style of Life.

Moving is no longer simply changing a location.

A new job elsewhere might offer substantially more money, but the rent could be higher. Your partner may have fewer opportunities. Your children may need to change schools. Parents who once lived fifteen minutes away may suddenly become long-distance.

The new Stay or Move? experience helps you understand those trade-offs before you commit.

Relocation now connects with careers, housing, partners, children, schools, commuting, family support and the wider economy.

The three systems work together

This is where the update becomes much more than three separate features.

Imagine the economy begins to slow.

Your industry weakens and you lose your job.

A stronger opportunity appears in Northport.

The salary is higher and your commute would improve, but housing costs more. Your partner's career prospects aren't as strong there. Your children would have to change schools, and the grandparents they regularly see would become long-distance.

You choose to move.

Years pass.

That relocation becomes part of your family's history.

Eventually your character dies, and you continue as one of their adult children.

They begin with the Life they already built.

They remember the move they experienced growing up. Their relatives still live where they actually live. Their career and home continue. The economy is still in the same world and the same year.

The world carries on.

That's the direction LIVORA is continuing to move towards: a Life simulation where decisions can matter years — and now generations — later.

Command is clearer and easier to use

We've also made a major pass over how you actually manage your Life.

Some of LIVORA's systems were already substantial, but they weren't always easy enough to find. Calendar, planning and other management tools could be overlooked, while some Command pages presented too much information before getting to what actually mattered.

Command has therefore been reworked around three simple questions:

What is happening?

Does anything need me?

What can I do about it?

Important information and actions now take priority, while historical and supporting detail sits lower down or behind clearer navigation.

The result should make Command feel much more like an operating system for your Life, rather than a collection of information competing for your attention.

Calendar is easier to find and understand

Calendar was already a substantial part of LIVORA, handling future commitments, bills, appointments, events and plans.

The problem was that it could be too easy to miss.

Calendar is now surfaced more clearly throughout Command and Today, making it much easier to understand where your future commitments live.

You shouldn't need to discover one of LIVORA's main management tools by accident.

Day Planner is easier to discover

LIVORA's Map already contained meaningful Day Planner functionality, including places, intentions, free-time choices and planning.

We've made its purpose much clearer.

Plan your day is now surfaced more naturally so players can understand that the Map is not simply something to look at — it is also where you can make decisions about how to use parts of your day.

Today now focuses on what matters

Today has been reorganised to make the important things easier to see.

The new hierarchy focuses more clearly on:

Needs Attention

Things that genuinely require you.

Coming Up

The commitments and dates approaching soon.

Management Tools

Quick access to things such as Calendar, Day Planner and Smart Time.

Supporting Context

Useful information about the wider Life and world that doesn't need to compete with something requiring action.

Weather and world simulation haven't disappeared. They're simply presented according to how important they actually are.

An ordinary day of weather can remain background context.

A serious warning can move higher because it genuinely matters.

Housing payments are much clearer

We've improved how recurring housing costs are presented.

Previously, wording such as:

£800 · Due day 1

could understandably make it look as though the game was immediately taking £800 on Day 1 of a new Life.

The interface now makes a much clearer distinction between:

what your home costs each month

and

when money is actually due.

For a normal new Life, the first primary housing payment remains deferred until the appropriate future billing date rather than simply being charged because the current day happens to be Day 1.

Small distinction. Big difference in understanding what is actually happening to your money.

Smart Time is easier to understand

Smart Time remains LIVORA's way of moving through quieter stretches of a Life without blindly skipping meaningful decisions.

Its purpose is now clearer:

Move through quiet days safely until something needs you.

It still stops when meaningful interaction appears.

It does not automatically decide scenarios, answer messages or make important decisions for you.

This keeps longer Lives moving while preserving the moments where your input genuinely matters.

Choices now get to the consequence faster

We've also redesigned the normal The day shifts consequence experience.

Previously, after seeing a scenario, making a decision and wanting to understand the result, another large image could dominate the screen.

That large image has now been removed specifically from normal post-choice consequence feedback.

This does not mean LIVORA is removing its artwork.

Scenario images, characters, locations, cinematic moments and special Life visuals remain.

The difference is that once you've made your choice, the result now focuses on being a clear decision receipt:

What happened?

What changed?

What does it mean?

Does anything need your attention?

What happens next?

Meaningful financial, relationship and Life changes are easier to scan, unnecessary visual waiting has been reduced, and Continue is easier to reach.

The intended flow is now much clearer:

Moment → Choice → Clear consequence → Manage what matters → Continue

More depth. Easier to manage.

This update isn't about making LIVORA simpler.

It's about making its complexity work better.

You can now build a family that continues across generations.

Live through economic booms and downturns.

Move somewhere new because your career, family or priorities changed.

Watch those decisions continue to shape the Lives that follow.

And at the same time, the systems already inside LIVORA should now be much easier to find, understand and operate.

Your Life. Your choices. Your consequences. And now, your legacy.

Thank you for playing LIVORA, supporting the game and continuing to share your feedback.

There's plenty more still to come.
