Hello! This is a small update for Void of Lilly!

I've been working on another game and accidentally found a performance fix for my game engine (GameMaker), so I decided it's time to implement some stuff for Void of Lilly!

In this update:

• Now you can skip the final battle if you have the last boss steam achievement (helpful if you want to complete multiple endings in a single save).

• I disabled some Layer VFX in the last boss battle (potato mode). I hope it helps people with old PCs.

• There is a cross-promotion for my new small game in the main menu (wishlist it if you like it).

Some questions:

q - Is this game a prequel for something?

a - Kind of. I want to continue the story of this world, but for now I'm concentrated on making a small game, learning to polish, and maybe switching to another game engine, so it'd have to wait some time before I can continue the story. If you want to add anything regarding your expectations of future games, you can make a Steam discussion.

q - Can I add ___ language to the game?

a - Yes, language can be modded easily (there are two .csv files in the game folder). If your language has unsupported characters, you can reach out to me with your translation so I could add it to the game officially (if you are serious about your translation and want it to become a part of your portfolio).

q - Will there be major content updates for the game?

a - No, only small fixes like this.

q - My game is lagging on ___

a - If you encounter lags during a particular part of the game (for example, the last boss fight), make a bug report or make a Steam discussion. I'd try to fix it. If it's not about a particular part of the game, enable potato mode in settings. If it doesn't help, I can't do anything. Your hardware simply does not support the components of the game engine.

q - What's the game you are working on now?

a - There is a button in the main menu that leads you to my new game. It's a very simple bullet hell incremental game about a magical girl. It's 50% done, and I'll switch to another project soon. But as I stated in the first answer, I probably will have to wait some time before making another story-focused game.

q - Will your next game be free?

a - No, I probably won't make free games on Steam. But there may be some free games on my itch (https://innocent-soul.itch.io). Making free, full-fledged games does not really contribute to becoming a full-time game dev. Right now I can spend about 10 hours a week on the game development, and that's not a good ratio...
