Where we are

New Science is a card combination game. You start with a handful of elements and combine them into new things, working forward through sixteen historical ages from the Stone Age to the Age of Intelligence. Every card is generated the moment someone discovers it, so the catalogue genuinely grows as people play. We're aiming to release around December 2026.

The demo now tells you where you stand

The demo has always been a bounded slice rather than the whole game, but it wasn't upfront about it. That's changed:

  • You now get a clear heads-up before the demo ends, rather than hitting the end without warning

  • If you'd already played past the old limit before we introduced it, you keep going for a while longer instead of being cut off mid-session

  • The demo no longer meters your combining. Play as fast as you like within the session

Thank you to the people who really dug in

Some of you have made hundreds of cards in the demo. A few have made thousands. We didn't expect that, and it's been the single most useful thing for working out what the full game needs to be. If that's you, we've left a note for you inside the game, to say 'Thank you'.

What a wishlist actually does for us

We're a very small team with no publisher. Wishlists are most of how Steam decides whether to show a game to anyone, so they're the difference between launching to an audience and launching into silence. If you've enjoyed the demo, adding the full game to your wishlist is genuinely the most helpful thing you can do, and it costs nothing. And please 'Follow' us as well. And like us if you see us on social media...
