This is the first update on Steam. Right off the bat we want to tell you that the shown video is already missing some of the great new content. This new content includes improved editing of Ren'Py Options items, GUI items and even implicit to explicit Jump nodes (something that is basically the latest addition. While we were updating this, we also updated the shortcut functionality. It will now add a node context dependent. This means there is now a check, if you have a node selected and the selected node doesn't have a node connected to it's outgoing line, it will automatically connect. If you then add another node by shortcut key, it will connect it to that new node. We are currently working on the editing of Screens, which will be in the next bigger update, when all are returned from holiday.
We also fixed the search functionality, to include all nodes (some node definitions were added later and we hadn't added them to the search filters yet).
I think we should definitely not forget the Live Code Preview function!
