Seize Control 2.8.1 focuses on smoother File Explorer grid browsing, a richer 3D model viewer, and File Viewer polish.

File Explorer:

- Large folders scroll more smoothly in grid view and are much less likely to lag or crash while flinging through many images.

- Grid tiles show lightweight placeholders while thumbnails generate instead of loading full-size images into every tile.

- GIF files show a still thumbnail in the grid and play on hover, similar to video hover previews.

- GIF and transparent-image thumbnails no longer look washed out or broken after compression.

- Dragging files from the list or grid onto a folder in the side tree moves them instead of leaving a stale copy in the source folder.

- Dropping onto a folder in the side tree shows a single Move here hint on that folder instead of two overlapping messages.

File Viewer:

- Delete confirmation keeps long file names inside the dialog, and Enter confirms Delete like clicking the button.

- Vertical videos fill the viewer stage instead of sitting in a small band with large black bars.

- Timeline hover previews show a loading state immediately and fill in a frame for where you are hovering without waiting on the full overview.

File Viewer - 3D models:

- 3D models support auto-rotate, wireframe, a ground grid, axes, a bounding box, lighting presets, mesh stats, an optional on-stage FPS counter, and animation playback when the file includes clips.

- Choose Orbit or First person navigation in model options: WASD and arrows to move, drag to look, scroll wheel to dolly or zoom, and Shift+scroll to adjust walk speed. Leaving First person keeps a model-centered orbit pivot, and Reset defaults restores Orbit.

- Changing lighting or other synced model options keeps inspection toggles such as the grid. Opening a model with missing companion textures (for example OBJ or FBX maps) shows a non-blocking notice. Double-click the 3D stage to reset the camera framing.
