1) Keyboard focus / window-stacking
Previously was allowed to tab to a button, mash Space/Enter, and stack infinite copies of a window; focus never entered the popup or stayed contained. Now the focus is contained to a popup, preventing an infinite window situation.
2) Two non-paying issues: Deferring year-end taxes to April skipped April's whole paycheck (early-return before the pay code). Moved the tax check to run after the paycheck.
Workplace-injury recovery left you silently unpaid — recovery cleared the flag but never restored your work hours. Now it does. 3) Spouse vacation never showed its $10k/25hr cost, didn't gate the button, and said "wonderful vacation!" even when it silently failed. Now shows the cost, disables when unaffordable, and only celebrates on success.
4) In the books. the income_earned handler is the single accumulator, but six sources also manually added the same amount. Removed the redundant adds (+ a tips double-count and a short-selling-fee row). (4/4 test: $1,660 counted once, not $3,320.)
5) An exploit: price floors (update_gmi, market events, whale mechanic) re-inflated your own company's split-collapsed price to $1 while the share count stayed multiplied; and the once-per-year split cooldown was, previously, dead code, this is fixed to disallow this exploit.
6) Converted the 8 highest-risk popups (MediaCompanyManager ×5, EstateTax, EndGame ×2) from transient Windows to Control overlays — the proven cause of the recurring engine use-after-free crash.
7) Re-opened hotel buying with a "may still be unstable on some GPUs" notice (7 languages), and re-enabled Aurora Ledgers (the real-estate tax-shelter elite service) by removing its UI lockout. These were locked out during the summer sale and are still unstable. We think the crash can sometimes be linked to integrated GPUs, but plan to still look into future crash reports.
