The Apostle's Ascent · public · first seen
This patch delivers a whole batch of community feedback — from one important functional fix to several quality-of-life improvements.
Every active boon now actually applies its effect in combat — damage, healing, and buffs, even combined in a single cast. New: shields, enemy slow, and freeze. (Previously, some active boons did nothing visible when clicked.)
Before you make an offering, the sacrifice menu now shows which influence domains it strengthens (colored by magnitude) and how the favor bar will fill. You can optionally enable a confirmation prompt before each sacrifice. There's also a new Sacrifice Log in the event tab.
After every apotheosis, the ascension screen now shows what triggered the ascent (the level and favor you reached) and what the next ascension requires — no more guessing. The title ("God of War", etc.) reflects your dominant influence; the ascent itself is triggered by level and favor. The apotheosis screen also got a visual pass (colors tuned to your dominant domain, framed window).
Hover over an influence type (in the sacrifice menu or on the apotheosis screen) for a short domain description. The in-game options are now split into two tabs: Game (speed, saving, confirmations) and Display (indicators, tooltips, zoom).
You can now zoom out with the mouse wheel to take in more of the world. Toggle it off to avoid accidental zooming, with a "Reset zoom" button in the Display options.
The 12 influence domains now use consistently distinct colors — easy to tell apart in the Hero Hall and on the apotheosis screen.
Thanks to the community — and especially to reviewer Alaric, whose feedback on the boons, sacrifice transparency, and apotheosis explanation shaped this patch in a big way!
