SeizeControl - App Themes · build 23402440 · published
Seize Control 2.2.1 focuses on smoother folder browsing, clearer File Explorer controls, and a set of small fixes across settings, shortcuts, and themes.
Performance:
- Reduced CPU usage when opening folders by stopping automatic recursive folder-size scans from every folder row.
- Reduced duplicate folder-size work across tabs and windows by sharing active size scans.
- Improved grid thumbnail memory usage and cache reuse for video-heavy folders.
- Improved App Themes responsiveness with GPU acceleration off by disabling expensive software-rendered blur and fixed-background effects.
File Explorer Settings:
- Added Folder sizes and Folder size sorting settings so you can choose when folder sizes load and how many scan at once.
- Improved folder size display so rows show a loading placeholder only while a size is being calculated.
- Synced selected-folder size results between the details panel and list rows.
- Added safeguards so huge or changing folders stop showing misleading partial sizes.
- Added Settings buttons to open and clear the thumbnail cache.
Settings:
- Fixed Advanced > Reset all settings so Right-Click Menus reset immediately across open windows.
- Fixed GPU acceleration default handling so it only disables after you explicitly turn it off and restart.
- Added a restart reminder when changing the GPU acceleration setting.
Window & Shortcuts:
- Enabled Ctrl+R and Ctrl+Shift+R app reload shortcuts outside development builds.
- Allowed the main app window to be resized much smaller.
App Themes:
- Refined the Glass theme for more consistent borders and tray menu hover feedback.
