Another major patch is out! Woohoo! The team keeps on chugging along, and our focus for the past two weeks has been working on our Demo that will be released to the public in June. As always, there have been a ton of small fixes and updates along with our main effort pushes, so let's get into what has been added in the new patch; Welcome to RC3!
Note: RC3 is currently on the 'latest' branch, and will be out for all once we confirm no game-breaking issues in-steam.
Lobby Customization is in-game and Ready to PlayThis has been a long time coming, a major feature to the Day Job cycle that we have been working on and tweaking for a while, and we are finally at the point where we are ready to put it in the hands of players! Lobby customization is something that has been in the background for most players, with a very light amount playable over the last few months, but we now have the full suite of tools implemented in RC3 for everyone to really get their hands on and mess with it. It is really exciting to know people are going to have a chance to mess with this feature, and I’m sure we will learn a lot from the poking and prodding of players as we move forward.
We have completely reworked the inputs of Lobby Customization to be more user-friendly
Including making sure that it is controller-friendly
The UI has been reworked as well, so that players have more control over where they can place their purchases in the world
We have included a bunch of new assets for players to collect and earn throughout the game, from wallpapers and rugs to wall-mounted clocks, all to make the Lobby level customizable to a players' taste
As it currently stands, players will see their Business and Production colleagues as you improve the Lobby
Each colleague has their own story, so engage with them when they show up and start learning about them. Talking to them again and again will uncover more of each colleague’s story
Early Game Stability Fixes GaloreAs always, this update features a ton of bug fixes and tweaks to the game, focusing on the early section of the game that will be featured in the upcoming Demo. Bugs and stability are in a never-ending conflict for our devs, as there is always something that we can improve, and over the past two weeks, we tackled a ton of stuff. A few of the major fixes are listed below:
In terms of Stability, a ton of bugs were addressed to make sure the game doesn’t break, no matter how determined our testers are to do just that.
For the “Interview With a Bot” Office Quest, we refactored the input for the Chip Replacement moment to make sure it is consistently accomplished by our players.
We have also fixed a ton of waypoint and input bugs that have been creeping up over the past few weeks; this is a side effect of how much content we are adding to the game, but the team fixed a ton of wonky waypoint bugs and input interactions that weren’t working as they should have been
Thank you, as always, for keeping up to date with us, and let us know what you find as you play! Good or bad, we would love to know!
