The latest patch introduced some performance regressions and issues that we are rectifying in this hot fix. Additionally, we were able to perform a shader optimization pass and free up about 2GB of RAM while the game is running; enjoy!

  • Reverted Unity Engine to the previous sub-version to address a number of performance regressions, mainly:

    • STP should again work on MacOS.

    • Physics colliders should no longer cause framerate issues in certain scenes.

  • Fixed shader compilation issues on macOS and Linux causing visual artifacts with some vegetation.

  • Fixed an issue with the targeting reticle not showing on vegetation and rocks for Windows clients.

  • Adjusted border vegetation LOD bias in Highland Basin/Hills to improve performance.

  • Performed third party shader optimizations reducing the game's memory (RAM) footprint by ~2GB.

  • Added tooltip for Ley Pylon to the map icon highlight (upper right).

  • Allow shift+click to replace ranged ammo items for Strikers wanting to swap a weapon in.

  • Renamed "Graphics" options tab to "Display".

  • Added a new "Performance" options tab. Which now includes:

    • Enable Cloth Sim

    • Rain Collision

    • Shadow Casting Lights

    • Thread Count

    • Rendering Budget (previously "Overall Quality")

    • Cloud Quality

    • Volumetrics Quality

    • Humanoid Textures Quality

    • Vegetation Density Quality

    • View Render Distance

    • Shadow Render Distance

    • Vegetation Render Distance

    • Tree Billboard Render Distance

  • "High Quality" tree billboard toggle has been removed as it is now the default.
