02/18/26 Patch Notes Around Game Improvements
Main Menu now has a BUMPIN new Lobby Track, courtesy of Fat Bard!
Results Sequence - After a match has concluded, all players will reappear in front of the stage on podiums indicating your placement / score. You have control of your character, so feel free to goof around!
Controller / Rebinding Improvements:
PS5 and Switch Pro controllers should now work out of the box.
Fight Sticks should now work, but still require a little remapping and a mouse to navigate the menus.
D-Pad Movement can now be bound if desired on controllers.
Gamecube Controllers should work out of the box with Mayflash adapters. For official Nintedo adapters, check out ❓｜faq for steps on how to get it working.
Queue Select Buttons now include more information about what the mode you'll be playing is and roughly how long it will take to complete.
Squad Saga Improvements
POWER-UPS - Partway through a Squad Saga, all players will be offered a selection of Power-Ups to choose from. These will last for the rest of the Saga, so coordinate with your teammates and choose wisely!
This system is being tested in a very early state -- please bear with our temporary visuals and leave us feedback about your experience with them!
Combat Systems
Item Pickup is now performed with the Quick Attack button (previously the Grab button)
Grabs have received several improvements to better communicate their range make landing them more consistent.
La Rosa
Down Special - This has been reverted from a spin attack back to Riposte, where she dodges backwards and then flies forward with a lunging stab.
Down Heavy - REWORK: Now spins around rapidly with her sword.
Red Riding Hood
VFX - A majority of her attacks have had their VFX updated.
Voiceover - Voice lines have been implemented.
Hercules
VFX - Now all attacks have had their VFX updated.
Snow Queen
VFX - A majority of her attacks have had their VFX updated.
Merlin
Voiceover - Voice lines have been implemented.
Stages
Capture the Flag Stage - This stage has been rethemed to take place in the forest where Red Riding Hood resides. Welcome to Hooded Treetops!
Hockey Stage - This stage has been re-themed to take place in an ice cave near Snow Queen's Castle. Welcome toQueen's Rink!
Items
Will 'o' Wisp - Pick it up this flaming friend to cause 3 red-hot wisps to begin orbiting around you, knocking away enemies!
Pot - Contains another item. Throw it to break it, or just smash it open with an attack!
