WHAT'S NEW???


Quite a lot, lil bun~

In short:

  • NEW LANGUAGES
  • Meet Hèrbe on the surface, they are a weird fellow
  • Pâquerette finally managed to open her own computer (Ophéline did it), it's PACKED with stuff.
  • Apparently, Ophéline sneaked a hidden mini-game inside???
  • Full rework on Ophéline's Computer for more proficient baby-making
  • New hint systems for captures and babies!!
  • New achievements!
  • New visuals for an existing biome, oooo~~~
  • Tons of visual polish, new sound effects, QoL features, bug fixes, cheese solutions fixes...

We're coupling this massive update with the release of a new Supporter Pack DLC

Hèrbe Down the Bunburrows

Since Supporter Pack 1 let Pâquerette "borrow" Ophéline's makeup, it's no surprise Supporter Pack 2 won't stop her from straight-up stealing Hèrbe's stuff.

This new Supporter pack gives you:

  • Playable Hèrbe!! (don't ask Pâquerette what the wig is made of)
  • Exclusive in-game dialogues (somehow Hèrbe can't tell it's Pâquerette...)
  • Exclusive surface music (it's a banger)
  • Pâquerette failing to whistle in every single Bunburrow... (nobody asked for this)

  • Pâquerette Computer!
    • Did Pâquerette finally figure out how to turn it on?
    • Includes a summary of all the rules and mechanics Pâquerette has discovered
    • Dialogues backlog! You can find all the dialogues here!
    • Pâquerette finally has the minigame she kept begging for, it won’t stop her from asking for one on Ophéline’s computer but hey! Progress!
    • Won’t spoil the surprise but the mini-game is a Bunburrows-esque twist on a classic~
    • Pâquerette can now bask in her own glory by checking the achievements from her Computer!

  • Rework on Ophéline’s Computer

    • Improved UI
    • Sorting options for Captures and Babies
    • Larger viewport for the map
    • Revamped map sprites
    • A support line???? (dont spam it)

  • Bunny Hint System

    • Players can now toggle the Bunny Hint System, with a single press of a button, you can now see for each room the final position and orientation the bunnies should end up to be captured

  • Babies Hint System

    • Players can now use the Computer to be given a specific couple to try to pair together
    • Getting an exhaustive (???) list of the possible babies wouldn’t have been possible without the community, hence the list of “Bun Breeders” was added to the credits, THANK YOU

  • Lower Baby Pillar requirement

    • The requirement has been lowered from 500 to 400
    • The baby pillar now also accounts for babies made with glitch bunnies
    • This way, more people will get to enjoy Bunburrows’ next big final update Bunspeakable Depths

  • Map shortcut

    • The map can now be opened directly through a dedicated input

  • Teleport anywhere

    • When entering C-20, Pâquerette is now granted a new special power: She can now teleport to any level she has already explored from the map.

  • Hell temple biome

    • Hell temple now has its own visual theme, effects and color palette!
    • Related achievements have also been updated

  • Hèrbe

    • A new fellow just appeared in the shop, what’s their deal?
    • New dialogues with Hèrbe and Ophéline
    • Hèrbe brought their jukebox, what’s up with that?

    • Reworked pause menu
    • Improved Hell’s vignette visual effect
    • Added the see-through shader to the “Press X to continue” prompt when in dialogues
    • Fix occasional black lines appearing when moving the map
    • Changed central visual effect for Pillars room
    • Improved timer placement when level names are displayed
    • Updated Bunstack logo (added the name next to the bun pile!!)

  • Gameplay changes

    • Reworked pickaxe tutorial
    • Added a visual indicator for when a bunny loses their ability to be Home captured and when the bunny retrieves that ability upon undoing

  • Bug fixes

    • Fixed performance issues when moving the map
      • The map is now drawn as a single mesh

    • Fix incorrect dialogue box background style in some Ophéline dialogues
    • Fix Pillars room teleport unlocking without having actually accessed the level
    • Fix incorrect prop used in Hay Hell biome
    • Fixed timer incorrect vertical position in some instances
    • Fixed some missing moss pixels on some temple bunnies’ sprites
    • Fixed bunnies counter incorrectly flashing a color when undoing even when no capture being undone
    • Fixed typos and some missing color formatting in some dialogues
    • Fixed time spent on computers not being registered for total time spent in game
  • Level design changes

    • Fix cheese solution in E-18
    • Fix cheese solutions in W-23
    • Fix cheese solutions in W-24
    • Fix cheese solution in W-25
    • SW?-25 has been removed from explored levels in saves as it is no longer accessible since a previous level design fix

  • Misc

    • Updated Unity Version (fix for a critical security vulnerability)
      • This means the game is no longer compatible for very old computers (Windows 7, MacOS 10) which is less than 0.1% of Steam users
      • If you are impacted, the previous version of the game is still available on a separate branch
      • Following a community request, both 1.0.9 and 1.0.10 versions will forever stay available on public branches for mod compatibility and legacy speedrunning
