This release introduces the beginning of the new building and blueprint system, but integration with the survival gameplay is still in a very experimental state. Check out the designer, but expect some issues with progressing in survival.
Rework:
- Ships and stations have been changed to being made up of a unified set of modules.
- Added a new designer mode, and ship/station blueprints that can be saved and loaded.
- Removed drones, ore is now collected using the tractor beam.
Known Issues:
- Research tree does not match the new building system.
- Some colliders are not aligned.
- Ship must be centered on the building grid for proper steering.
- Remove modules will remove their inventory contents without refund.
- Piloting HUD does not show reactor(s) fuel levels.
- Warp drive does not work.
Feature:
- Reworked world generation. Now, asteroids generate continuously throughout the solar system, with a few higher density points-of-interest that can be viewed in the map.
- Improved the ship strafing controls. Now, holding sprint (SHIFT) while piloting lets you use WASD to strafe, making maneuvering around asteroids easier.
- Improved load game menu. Save entries are now sorted by most recent.
- Expanded the game world to include multiple star systems, viewable in the map.
Balance:
- Small enemy fighters are now slower and have less health.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with teleporting when walking on or off a station.
- Fixed the player walking too fast when moving diagonally.
- Fixed freezing when loading them map
- Fixed a bug with conveyor rotations.
