We know you've waited a long time for this one, so let's get in and take a look at the changes:
New Building Mechanic: Support Structures. Building nodes have always had occasional linked nodes, but we’ve added new functionality to linked nodes. Some of the nodes may be used to purchase vehicles. To purchase a vehicle, just construct a base on the closest node to a Support structure, then visit the support structure and press B. this opens the buying menu. Once a new vehicle is crafted, use E to hop into one of the seats.
New Support Structures:
Vehicle Depot: builds Carts, 4 Wheelers, Skidos, Tanks, and Bot-Semple
Airstrip: Supports 3 different aircraft
New Land Vehicles:
Tank
Bot-Semple Tank (Dross faction Only)
MiniCart
New Aircraft, each plane is the same small tactical vehicle, but it comes with three loadouts:
Rockets
Laser Guided Missiles
Laser Guided Bomb
New Turret type: Anti Tank. The AT Turret is constructible by upgrading the Frag Turret.
New Levels:
Close Quarters: a small and dark city based map.
Red Skies: Disaster has struck the FrompTech Kill Bot factory and training facility! Clear out the invaders, or finish the hostile take over. This is also the first level to support 5 factions, so give that a try.
We also added small adjustments to the old levels to accommodate Vehicle construction, and Teleporters just for fun.
Teleporters: Careful, teleportation can be a little unpredictable.
We adjusted the Bridge Level to support 5 factions at a time and teleporter travel.
AI Assistant. The AI assistant is available to manage your base infrastructure when you don’t want to. Just open In-Game Escape Menu by pressing the Escape Key. and select “Enable Assistant Manager”. Now a manager bot will handle your base building purchases using your faction’s Fromp-Coin.
Difficulty Control. You can choose a factions difficulty in the Skirmish Menu:
Easy: reduced Income.
Normal: same as it ever was!
Hard: added a trickle of income and reduced a reaction speed limiter.
Cheat: like the hard mode, but they have all the money available and completely removed the limiter.
There have been many other bug fixes and quality of life adjustments, and we streamlined the Tutorial allowing the player to skip certain parts to have more freedom to explore the FrompTech Quality Assurance Gauntlet.
