As we sharpen our axes for Badassgard’s first-ever Closed Alpha Test, we want to make sure every Viking is ready to battle. To help clear the mist, we’ve put together this FAQ to address everything you might be wondering.
We will continue to update this post as more questions arise during the test!
Q. What is the purpose of this Alpha Test?
We are embarking on a journey to make Badassgard the best it can be. This Closed Alpha is all about gathering our kin to test the core combat and balance. Think of it as a shared feast where we perfect the recipe together. Your thoughts will help us forge a legendary Demo for everyone to enjoy!
Just a heads up - Since this build is an alpha build, there will be things to fix, and things that are incomplete.
Q. I want to join! How do I sign up?
We'd love to have you! The gates are open to everyone that signs up, but I promise - the process is easy.
1. Join our official Discord Server
2. Get your 'Alpha Tester' Discord Role
3. Fill out the Closed Alpha Sign-up form in the #cat-announcement channel
4. We'll send a Steam Key straight to your Discord DMs! Expect your key to arrive within 24 hours of signing up.
Q. I got the keys, how do I activate it?
Instructions on how to redeem your Steam key will be sent to you with keys via DM.
If you're still feeling a bit lost, don't worry - just drop a message in our Discord! Our team will be there to help any struggling Viking.
Q. Can I stream or make videos?
Yes, of course!
We would be honored to see your gameplay, streams, and screenshots. Sharing your experience and hype helps our community grow and flourish.
All we ask is that you let your viewers know this is an Alpha build - a work in progress that's getting better every day!
Q. Will my progress be saved and carried over to the official release?
No, all player data will be reset once this test ends. We truly appreciate your understanding.
Q. Are there any tester benefits?
Yes. No warrior should leave the hall empty-handed. We've prepared something special to show our gratitude.

Hall of Fame Honors, we'll etch your name onto a big ancient rock inside the Hall of Fame in-game. Your legacy will be part of Badassgard forever!
2. For the Feedback Survey Participants
Exclusive Skin : We will be gifting an exclusive Alpha Testers skin to Vikings that complete our feedback survey. The skin is WIP, but we'll share it as soon as it is ready!
Q. I found a bug, where do I go?
Head over to the #bug-report channel in our Discord! If you are a shy Viking, you can also privately issue a ticket on the server as well.
