Multiplayer Tastes Better!

Ciao Chefs!

Today we’ve opened up the Multiplayer Closed Beta Tests for Pizza Slice. For a limited time you can now share the experience of running a pizzeria alongside your friends!

Please remember that these are closed tests, so do not share nor stream the content. The game is still in development and it will not be representative of final quality.

If you’ve missed the last big news, Pizza Slice is releasing March 04 on Steam!

🖱️ How does it work?

The beta will run on Steam between February 4 - 16.

For everyone who requested access through Steam - please check your email boxes, as the first batch of invitations has been sent out. The participants are selected at random. Depending on the ongoing interest we might make another round of admissions, so please follow the game on Steam or join our Discord server to always receive the latest news.

The beta access requests remain open, so if you are interested in participating click on that green “Request Access” button on the game’s Steam Store Page.

Each participant will receive 2 additional access keys, which can be shared with your friends to test the game out together.

🍕 The scope of the beta build

The players will have 7 in-game days to run their pizzeria.

The game does not force any of the players into specific roles - they will have to communicate and manage the whole workload together as they see fit. From buying and prepping the ingredients to shaping pizzas and serving them to clients. The co-op game mode will come with a gameplay tutorial for whom this will be their first experience with the game.

The players will not be able to dash in multiplayer, so a coordinated approach to working in the kitchen will be a must (and also part of the fun/challenge).

For those who will be entering the world of Pizza Slice for the first time a Single Player experience will also be available. Its scope will be the same as the multiplayer build: 7 days + tutorial.

We've also added three difficulty levels to the game, both for Single and Co-Op play - we highly encourage you to test different settings and let us know how they fare!

We strongly encourage all participants to join our Discord server - we will prepare threads for ‘looking for party’, as well as voice chat rooms for anyone wanting to play together. Known Co-Op Issues:

  1. When in Co-Op please do not use the Pizza Shaping Workspace at the same time. It will result with the host player being frozen in place. If that happens to you, please restart the game.

  2. The upgrade shop is not yet working correctly in Co-Op - please refrain from buying upgrades for now.

  3. The food containers can only be managed by the Host in Co-Op, please remember about it when playing together with your friends.

These issues are already being resolved, so please expect an update soon!

🌿 Why are we doing the Playtest?

First and foremost we want to check the connection stability and if all gameplay mechanics work as intended in a multiplayer environment. We’ve done internal testing and we’re positive everything should run smoothly but with the amount of possible hardware and software combinations out there we want to be sure before we release the game into the wild.

In the Main Menu of the game you will find a link to a form, through which we will be gathering your feedback. It will mean a lot to us, if you click on the link and share your experience. This will help fine tune the game before it releases later in the year.
