This update focuses on manual target designation and ship-following commands, a complete overhaul of naval and field artillery, and further improvements to combat visuals and unit animations.
Manual Target Designation
Right-click an enemy ship to assign it as the selected ship’s target.
Multiple ships can be ordered to concentrate fire on the same enemy.
Player-designated targets and targets independently chosen by captains are now displayed with different colors.
In Command Mode, subordinate ships receive a new signal: “Engage Designated Enemy Ship.”
Follow Command
Right-click a friendly ship to make the selected vessel follow behind it.
This allows more precise control over battle lines and connections between formations.
Complete Naval Gun & Artillery Overhaul
Naval guns have been rebuilt using historically scaled models, including 4- to 32-pounder long guns, carronades, fortress guns, field artillery, and Eastern artillery such as the Cheonja and Jija Chongtong.
Gun calibers are now distributed by ship class and deck, with heavier guns on lower decks and lighter guns above.
Gun elevation, recoil, reloading, and run-out animations are now dynamically linked to the actual firing process.
Numerous visual issues involving gunports, muzzle flashes, carronade movement, and gun positioning have been corrected.
Combat Visual Improvements
Fire effects have been replaced with new realistic VFX featuring visible flames and columns of dark smoke.
Ship nameplates now follow the curvature and angle of the hull.
Deck crews now abandon ship as a vessel sinks.
Unit Animation Improvements
Musket firing, death, hit reactions, cheering, and recovery animations have been reviewed and corrected.
Cavalry horse animations have been completely rebuilt.
Expanded Tutorials
New tutorial sections now cover target designation, concentrated fire, following friendly ships, General Chase behavior, and Command Mode targeting signals.
Tutorials are fully supported in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Spanish.
Additional improvements include cleaner command and selection markers, as well as corrected coastal gun scaling in the Copenhagen 1801 scenario.
