Fixes:

Fixed issue that would prevent spawning of Saettia.

Fixed load order issue that could cause numerous issues when attempting to sail a ship that had just been loaded in through the shipyard.

Fixed invisible cleats on Bathis Isle.

Fixed several geometry and shader issues on Bathis Isle.

Fixed broken provision dialog in several ships.

Hopeful resolution to displaced ship name text.

Fixed issue where entering ship-reset mode while interacting with certain ship objects would prevent moving the ship - thus softlocking if the ship happened to be in a 'red' state when toggled.

Changes:

Updating heading while helm is in use by an Epitaph will now update the task for the same Epitaph instead of assigning to an idle crewmember.

Known Issues:

Sailing for long periods (typically > 1 hr, but may vary), may cause the wake shader to break, resulting in transparent waves, and foam stretching into the horizon. Depending on ship this may also cause severe stability issues. Cause is under investigation - current workaround is to save and reload as it is not a persistent issue.

What's in the works:

I'm looking to replace the Epitaph movement with an RM based system that will hopefully simplify scripting, as well as improve the visual look of animations and support less goofy looking ladder traversal.

Higaki Kaisen has moved on to the texturing phase.

Some other stuff is in the works too...

Epitaph movements are now somewhat cleaner, and better aligned with speed and pathfinding…Major update31 Aug 2026Following Seas 0.5 - Initial Crew SystemFixes: Fixed weird hovering second mainmast on lateen Xebec. Fixed, or at least substantially reduced, jitter when piloting rowboats. Improved longline troller's ability to maintain course. Fixed numerous issues that could cause errors during scene transition. Significantly improved stair colliders on Greatship, making traversal smoother. Fixed some minor issues with controller polling. Changes…Community24 Aug 2026Update on the crew system, and info regarding next major update.Hello Steam Users! I know it's been a while since the last update. Doing my best to get an update together - hoping for next weekend. Main blocker is the crew system, as there's a lot of little parts to it that need to be functional for anything to work. That said, a first iteration of crew is very near release, along with a number of other minor changes. While I expect it will launch in a some…
