CARDED: Groups to Glory · published · build 24463310

Update 1.2 is now live for CARDED: Groups to Glory.
This is one of the game’s biggest updates so far, focused on improving presentation, feedback, usability and stability across almost every part of a run.
Update 1.2 introduces new ways to manage and assign cards, completely reworks active coach management, expands Run Information, rebuilds Match Preview and adds a major audio and tutorial pass.
Added two new options for assigning Training Cards.
Random All assigns every remaining card to an independently selected random player.
Balance All assigns each remaining card to the player with the current lowest Overall rating.
The lowest-rated player is recalculated after every assignment, allowing the cards to gradually balance the squad rather than selecting one player at the beginning.
Both options support:
Random All and Balance All now use dynamic presentation acceleration.
Small card batches remain at normal speed, while large batches automatically accelerate their animations and sounds so the complete sequence takes no more than approximately seven seconds.
Each successful assignment receives its own card feedback before a final completion sound.
Active coaches can now be directly managed from the main squad screen.
You can now click an active coach to Scrap them into Attribute Cards.
The number of cards generated depends on the coach’s rarity:
Scrapping a coach uses a confirmation screen and preserves the generated cards through assignment, saving and reloading.
Active coaches can also be reordered by dragging and dropping them between staff slots.
Coach order, Enhanced status and complete coach-effect data are now preserved correctly after reordering and saving.
Empty staff positions now display clearer placeholders.
Coaching Courses have been completely rebuilt.
Instead of opening a separate coach-selection screen, a Coaching Course now becomes a draggable card.
Drag the Course directly onto an eligible active coach to Enhance them.
Eligible coaches are highlighted while the Course is held.
Invalid targets are clearly rejected, including coaches that are already Enhanced.
Coach Packs no longer send you to a separate replacement screen when all five staff slots are occupied.
The Coach Pack now remains open while you manage your current staff.
You can:
The original Coach Pack choices are preserved throughout the process and cannot be rerolled by leaving and returning.
The Attribute Overview now includes:
Attributes currently relevant to your tactic are highlighted for easier squad analysis.
Player, coach, identity, tactic and modifier information can now be opened in larger detail views.
These views provide more space for descriptions, effects, statistics and supporting information without overcrowding the main Run Overview.
Fixture History has also been improved.
Completed fixtures now store exact Match Calculation snapshots, allowing previous matches to display the actual values used at the time they were played.
Historical calculations can include:
Older fixtures without a complete stored snapshot use a clear and truthful fallback rather than reconstructing potentially inaccurate values from the current squad.
Match Preview has been rebuilt into a more complete matchday presentation.
The screen now includes:
Play Match now locks safely once activated and can no longer launch Match Calculation more than once through rapid or repeated input.
Returning from Run Information, Settings or Photo Mode no longer unnecessarily restarts the Match Preview presentation.
Layering and z-index issues that could cause the pitch or atmosphere to disappear have also been corrected.
The Next Match screen has been rebuilt as the Run Checkpoint.
The new panel provides a compact overview of the current campaign before moving to the next fixture.
Depending on the current stage, it may display:
The panel now responds to the physical game-window width rather than relying only on internal viewport scaling.
A compact four-module layout is used at smaller widths, while wider resolutions receive the expanded layout.
The Run Checkpoint remains locked to the existing 100-pixel bottom-panel height.
The Tutorial Tips system has been completely reworked.
The game now contains 89 context-aware Tutorial Tips covering major screens, controls and systems.
Tutorial Tips now understand which screen or overlay currently owns the interface.
Opening Settings, Run Information, the Glossary, Photo Mode or another foreground panel temporarily suspends the underlying tip instead of incorrectly marking it as completed.
When the overlay closes, the correct underlying Tutorial Tip can safely return.
Only one Tutorial Tip marker is displayed at a time.
New and updated Tutorial Tips include:
Tutorial Tips now restore correctly after rebuilt controls, tab changes, nested overlays and screen transitions.
Update 1.2 introduces a major audio-feedback pass across the game.
New sounds have been added for:
Card assignments now use multiple sound variants and avoid immediately repeating the same sound.
Balance All and Random All accelerate their application sounds alongside their animations during very large batches.
Stadium ambience now begins during Match Preview and continues through Match Calculation and Match Result without restarting when overlays are opened.
The ambience responds immediately to Master, SFX and mute settings.
Audio cleanup has also been improved so result sounds, transitions and delayed Match Calculation sounds do not continue into unrelated screens.
Training session choices now preview their exact squad-level resource effects in the top bar before selection.
The preview includes the final expected result after:
Training resolution now includes clearer visual feedback for committed resource changes.
Coach contributors are displayed when they affect the result.
Generated Training Cards now receive improved reveal feedback.
Training choices are protected from duplicate submission, stale callbacks and freed-control references.
Match Calculation now includes expanded staged audio and presentation feedback.
The Performance ticker receives a distinct sound whenever a genuine positive contribution is added.
This applies to discrete calculation stages rather than every number or animation frame.
Match Calculation skip behaviour has also been improved.
Skipping now safely completes the presentation without leaving behind delayed:
Performance Needed now receives its own reveal feedback and is guarded against duplicate playback.
Match result classification has been standardised across the complete game.
The result rules are now:
Match Calculation, scoreline generation, fixture history, coach conditions, progression and result screens now use the same authoritative result.
This corrects cases where the displayed calculation, generated scoreline and downstream systems could disagree.
Coaching Style changes now receive a dedicated central notification.
The notification displays:
Multiple shifts are safely queued instead of overlapping or replacing one another.
False Coaching Style notifications during loading, setup or screen reconstruction have also been removed.
Thank you to everyone who has played, reported bugs and shared feedback.
Update 1.2 is a major step forward for the presentation and usability of CARDED: Groups to Glory. The game should now feel clearer, faster, more responsive and more satisfying throughout an entire run.
There is still plenty more planned, and feedback from the community will continue to shape future updates.
