Difficulty Engine Overhaul + Russian Localisation Updated!
New Difficulty Calculation
- We've completely overhauled how song difficulty is calculated! It should hopefully do a better job of representing the difficulty of each map and how much each map is worth if you get a good score on it.
- It now also accounts for 3L (3-lane) maps as well.
- We've also updated all built-in song difficulties.
- We're still actively refining it, so please give us your feedback in our official Discord!

Updating your Mappacks
- Difficulties will automatically update as you play each song.
- However, if you want everything updated all at once (so you can use the search filters like star>8), you can press Ctrl + Shift + U to bulk update all your mappacks.
WARNING: This can take A LONG TIME. It now also unpacks older v1 maps into the new optimised format AND recalculates difficulty for every map you have. Only do this when you don't plan on playing straight away (e.g. leave it running while you do something else).
Bug Fixes
- New installs now default to your monitor's native resolution.
- Input calibration now loads the full song audio when you enter it.
A Note for the Discord Early Testers
- Scores submitted to the Muse server are being migrated over to the new difficulty calculation, and your Muse Rating will be recalculated to match.
- For a short period during this migration, the MR and difficulties shown may be inaccurate until all older submitted scores to the server have been reprocessed.
Localisation Updates
- HUGE THANK YOU TO YoMoGa for getting the Russian localisation to basically 100%, and for pointing out mistakes/unused strings in the localisation spreadsheet!
- Updated a few places to use the localised strings instead of hardcoded English strings
- Fixed a few typos in various localisations
