Ahoy, pirates!

Small patch today, mostly aimed at the first hour. One of these was stopping new players before they even got going, so it went out fast.

Tweaks

  • A yellow marker now points at the cauldron on the first two levels. It disappears the moment someone picks it up

  • The elevator winch takes two and a half times fewer turns to crank

Balance and level design

  • Fixed the quota curve. After the new location order went in, the amount you had to hand in could drop compared to the previous level, which made progression feel like it was going backwards. It climbs steadily the whole way through now

  • Added more loot spawn points on levels 3, 4 and 8. Those levels had fewer valid spots than the item pool needed, so a chunk of it simply never appeared. There is noticeably more to carry out now

  • Rebuilt the store around the new progression. Prices were jumping around between levels, and cards that had already unlocked could disappear again. Both are sorted

  • The thick booty gives a fixed amount of stamina now instead of a percentage

Bug fixes

  • The tutorial actually starts. On the release build it hung on an endless loading screen and never let anyone through, so new players hit a wall on their very first run

A new enemy, a monster rebuilt from the ground up, new toys, achievements, and a very long list of changes. Not everything valuable wants to be picked up One of them is already sitting in your levels. It looks like treasure, holds perfectly still, and waits for someone greedy enough to crack it open. What climbs out will grab you and drag you off, and only a friend can pull you l…Community10 Sep 2026Last Pirates: Die Together is Now Steam Deck VerifiedAhoy, pirates!
