People discovering Free Ball keep comparing it to Rematch, but volleyball. That got me thinking: why not take inspiration from Rematch’s AR Stadium concept and bring that idea to Free Ball?
To keep rallies feeling fresh, the environment will change while you're playing. You can take your matches from a traditional volleyball stadium to a stylized medieval fantasy field, an Asian dynasty palace, and more environments currently in the works. This update makes every match feel visually different without taking away from the competitive volleyball gameplay. This could be the biggest Free Ball update yet, and I wanted to save it for the Kickstarter campaign launch.
Mark your calendars! The Free Ball Kickstarter launches this weekend on October 13, 2026. The campaign will feature several reward tiers, including a limited Early Backer Discount for day 1 backers, so don't miss your chance to grab it while it's available. If you’ve been waiting to back the game, Day 1 is the best time to do it. Early support helps increase Free Ball’s visibility on Kickstarter and gives us a better chance of reaching the funding needed to bring online multiplayer to the game.
