gaming is open to many more people than it has ever been available to. that being most of those people will never have their games played. here is a cutscene from life's a beach.
enigma: no hablo ingles
someone else: theyre inciting a riot
enigma: que I don't speak english. I like astros.
someone else: never mind theyre an american.
enigma: I like dynamo and eating food from trucks
someone else: and obviously a hipster.
this is a decently funny joke. we wanted to play around with the concept of ambiguous stereotypes. we found it funny that a border patrol agent would be hateful enough to beat someone up for speaking spanish. the joke though wouldn't be that an innocent person was beat up. so we needed a way to tell something a bit different. still showing the racism of the border patrol agent although in our game all characters are the same character. that being said we do use in engine movie sequences so theyre completely within the game world.
