Friendly reminder to drop us a review! Whether you recommend the game or not, whether its paragraphs long or just a single letter, any kind of feedback helps us keeps the development momentum going. Thank you for being part of this journey!
We’ve added a brand-new objective mechanic for players who want to focus on movement and evasion rather than pure shooting!
Eat & Level Up: A donut will now spawn at a random spot at the start of every round. Eating it grants immediate score and XP, and a new one will spawn shortly after.
Deny the Enemy: Watch out! Enemies can eat the donut too, and doing so will cause them to level up! You'll need to decide whether to race for the donut or keep your distance.
Targeting Over Merging: Enemies will now focus on directly attacking the player rather than constantly trying to merge with each other. This significantly dials back the sudden spike in difficulty caused by giant, merged mega-enemies.
Safe XP Orbs: Enemies can no longer level up by eating your dropped XP orbs! Instead, they will simply push the orbs around as they move through the arena.
New Orb Sprites: Replaced the old orb sprites with a clean, diamond-shaped design (and removed the eye). They now look distinctly like collectible pickups rather than potential threats.
Darker Backgrounds: Darkened the arena background to create much stronger visual contrast, making characters, allies, and fast-moving bullets far easier to track.
Adaptive Lighting Performance: Lowered the frame-rate threshold for dynamic lighting decay from 60 FPS down to 30 FPS. If your hardware runs between 30-60 FPS, the lighting will now retain its full aesthetic quality!
Tuned Screen Shake & Freeze Frames: Reduced the intensity of camera shake and freeze frames when enemies or allies take damage, keeping the screen stable while preserving full impact feedback when you take damage.
Leaderboard Fix: Resolved an issue where the leaderboard table failed to display player names, scores, and ranks correctly.
