Waterpark Simulator 1.0 is out now!

Yep, the time has come. 1.0 is here. I am not gonna bore you today with many words, as we know you want to dig into the game.Just want to say a huge thanks to all of you who supported us the past few months and believed in us as we created more and more of this wacky game called Waterpark SimulatorOk, time for the patch notes before I join the studio pizza party (it has become a studio tradition for big launches)

NEW STUFF

  • Multiplayer mode - Join with up to 3 friends (or 3 strangers up to you)  and run a park from the start, or load up your existing parks and have fun together. Proximity voice chat optional.

  • Beach map - Brand new map situated on the beachfront of a place that might have been inspired by a neon Miami beach. This will require a new park as the layouts are not transferable, but the style and new mechanics like the sea are worth it

  • Character customization - No more random looks. Choose your style and manage your park. Up to 5 slots can be saved. No beards tho (trust us, we are sad there too, but our models were doing some very game-breaking things)

  • Customizable slides - Time to create the most awesome and probably terrifying slides you can think. We tried to make the system in a way that guests would not get very stuck…yeah we know you are gonna break it in 5 seconds

  • Museum - A cultural place (which you can be part of later, so keep an eye out for a future comm about it soon). In there you will find 3 new NPCs that will open 3 quest lines, each one with its own currency

  • 3 new themes - Aztec, Sea and Pirate. Each one of them can be unlocked via a new research tree using the 3 currencies from the museum, unlocking all sorts of new building items for your park, ending each branch in a massive slide

  • Night mode - Turn on the lights, pay your employees a bit more, and away you go. Cheaters do increase a bit, but those glow-in-the-dark bracelets will make it easier to spot them at nighttime.

  • New food stand - Think hot dogs are so 2025? Time to provide your guests with a popcorn stand

  • Weather - Not every day is just sunny. Expect it all, from rain to heatwaves, to… Halloween weather? Each weather comes with its bonus or nerfs

  • Special events - It’s a waterpark Simulator. You know that the silliness has to be there. Some days special events happen. These can go from a simple tourist bus visiting the town to Aliens trying to kidnap your guests

  • Security - New staff type that kicks (ok maybe makes them fly off is more accurate) any bad visitor

  • Mascots - New staff type that work as moving happiness machines, keeping your visitors amused all over

  • Mafia - An optional Questline that allows you to get some dubious loans. After that, you decide what happens.

  • Plunger gun - A new tool that will make you feel like a superhero with a grappling gun. Great to reach those hard-to-reach spots faster

  • Paintgun - Want to paint at high speed and at a safe distance? Time to use the paintgun

  • Duck gun - No research needed. Just some cash for the old man at Caymart. Show the world how much you love rubber ducks.

  • Royal hammer - No extra function beyond a regular hammer, but have you seen the bling on this thing?

  • Trumpet (multiplayer tool) - You know you always want to show your musical skills. And you can do it right next to their ears with the multiplayer.

  • Megaphone (multiplayer tool)- Your friends can’t hear across the park? Just shout louder into the megaphone

  • Walkie-talkies (multiplayer tool - OK fine, I guess you can use the walkie-talkies, and if they are holding one, they can hear you

  • Ziplines - Want to allow your guests (and yourself) to get from point A to point B at high speed? Zip lines are the answer

  • Water cannon - A new structure in the shape of a duck (surprising, I know) that will allow you to power wash any guest or player in range

  • Floating basketball hoops - Challenge your friends for a water match of basketball or let your visitors enjoy them.

  • Pickup guests/staff/other players- Want to help someone get somewhere specific? Now you can do so by giving them a ride

  • Breakdown - Some attractions might break down completely and will be out of order until you fix them. Just pray it is not the toilets

  • Picking up individual pieces of trash (and other things). We all know what is gonna happen in multiplayer games with this

  • Spreading sick people. Ok, so we made this one, but we did think of folks that suffer from Emetophobia (check below). So the concept is if a visitor sees another visitor feeling sick, they might get sick too.

  • No Guest Sickness mode - This is a setting in the game settings that disables the whole thing of visitors getting sick at all. The first time a guest gets sick, you will get a pop-up reminding you this option exists and you can enable and disable at any time.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Major improvements of memory use and performance all over the game (already on top of the ones we had before )

  • Benches now are functional and work like loungers. Guests can sit on them and restore some energy if tired

  • NPCs now enter the Caymart and shop for things. Business is blooming for the old man, and the store looks more lively

  • The park ticket booth now has shutters that close when the park is closed

  • Star staff (aka the team members you can hire as staff) now have increased in number since we added everyone who worked with the game, and each character was designed by the person themselves using our character customization

  • Spray can disabled in multiplayer mode, to avoid any ...let's call them issues.

You can do so by going into your tablet in-game. In there, you can find a shortcut for your logo folder and instructions on how to do it.
