Hey Adventurers!
You’ve been giving some amazing feedback regarding the equipment progression, and I listened. This patch brings a massive new feature to the game: the Blacksmith! With the brand-new "Reforge Equipment" and "Unique Affix Transfer" systems, perfecting your Builds and chasing that god-roll is now easier and more deterministic than ever. I also saw all your comments about running out of inventory space, so I’ve heavily expanded the upgrade limits for both the Stash and the Counter!
Let's dive right into the new changes:
The Blacksmith has officially set up shop! You can now unlock a dedicated forging area in your shop (costs Gold). I'm rolling out two core mechanics for now, with even more crafting features planned for the future:
Reforge Equipment (Affix Rerolling):
Pick a piece of equipment and choose the exact affix you want to replace.
During reforging, you can stack or dismantle amplified stats.
The newly rolled affix is guaranteed to match the equipment type.
Note: The Reforge Cost scales up based on the number of times that specific item has been reforged.
Unique Affix Transfer:
elect a piece of Unique equipment to use as a "material" and transfer its Unique affix onto a target "Ancient" or "Unique" item.
If the target is a Unique, its original Unique affix gets completely overwritten.
If the target is Ancient, it gains the Unique affix and is instantly upgraded to Unique rarity.
Unique affixes can be transferred freely between Equipment and Runes!
Note: Warning! The material item will be DESTROYED in the process. The Transfer Cost is flat and completely unaffected by the item's Reforge count.
Lifesteal Rework: The old percentage-based lifesteal mechanic has been completely replaced with Life on Hit. Instead of healing for a percentage of damage dealt, you now heal for a flat amount of HP every time you hit an enemy.
Anti-Overcap RNG: Adjusted the random stat generation for Physical Resist, Magic Resist, Crit Rate, and Backpack Capacity so they don't easily overflow past their hard caps.
Stat Nerf: Lowered the scaling/growth rate for "Crit Damage" affixes on equipment.
Skills & Runes:
The trigger chance for the "Cleave" skill has been reduced from 30% to 20%.
The "Cooldown Reduction" Rune has been buffed from -20% to -25%.
Difficulty Tuning: Balanced the overall combat difficulty curve.
Drop Rates: Lowered the base drop rate and the pity drop rate for Unique equipment (since you can now craft and transfer them!).
Shop Upgrades:
New: Added a Counter Capacity upgrade (scales up to a max of 50 slots).
Buffed: Drastically increased the Stash Capacity upgrade limit (now scales up to 200 slots!).
Cost Adjustments: Increased the Gold cost to upgrade HP, Resistances, and Damage in the shop.
Cap Increase: Increased the maximum upgrade level for the "Increased Life on Hit" shop upgrade.
Quality of Life (QoL):
Redesigned the overall layout and visual style of the Shop interface.
Lowered the volume of combat hit sound effects to reduce audio fatigue during those long AFK farming sessions.
That’s a wrap for v0.5.0! A huge shoutout to the community for helping shape this update—Loot Tycoon wouldn't be the same without your constant feedback. Go fire up the forge, break the game with some wild new builds, and drop your ideas (or bug reports!) in the community hub.
Catch you in the shop!
