Howdy, puppet anglers!
We’ve got a big ol’ update for y’all today! Our biggest since Early Access launch!
With this update, our main goal was to level up multiplayer progression, give crews more reasons to stick together, and make every fish you sell feel like it’s helping the whole dock. Let’s get into it.
New: Dock Quotas
The Dock Quota system brings a new layer of co-op progression to the swamp. Now every fish sold to the Fish Monger helps fill the shared Quota Meter.
Work together, fill that meter, and your whole crew will unlock mighty helpful session upgrades.
Cooler Upgrades
You’ll now start each run with a 4-slot cooler, but don’t worry, cher! Bigger coolers are waiting.
As your crew completes quotas, you’ll unlock 6-slot, 8-slot, and 10-slot coolers, letting everyone haul more fish before heading back to sell. This has been one of our most-requested features and we're happy to get it in your hands! (literally)
Chum Bucket
The new Chum Bucket lets you turn fish into chum, then toss that chum into the water to restock fishing areas.
Fished a spot dry? Toss in some chum and get that water bubbling again.
Fish Club
Some fish just don’t know when to quit fighting.
With the new Fish Club, you can help a fellow angler by giving their hooked fish a good whack. Stunned fish are easier to manage, and teamwork just got a whole lot funnier.
Swinging the Fish Club uses the same controls as casting, so get out there and bonk them fish for a buddy in need.
NOTE: These upgrades are in-session only. Once you leave the lobby, your cooler will reset.
Other Fixins
⚠️ Tutorial signage now auto-switches to controller icons when using a controller.
🎮 Text button sizing has been improved for Steam Deck.
🐢 Turtles can now be picked up and thrown. More ammo to launch at the skeeters!
🐟 Players can now have more than one thrown fish available for pickup.
⚽ Added more kits: Germany, France, England, and Canada.
🎣 Fishing line has been refactored to fix wild tessellation when other players cast.
🔄 Fixed an issue where player animations could get out of sync after host migration or when joining late.
