Oi flatmates!

Today, we can finally announce that GLASSHOUSE will be at Gamescom 2026 -- an especially important event for us, and the perfect stage to start unveiling our plans for the end of the year.

Between our appearance at the IGN Awesome Indies Showcase and the chance to get an early hands-on with our first official demo, we have quite a lot to talk about.

Check out our late-August schedule below!

PLAYABLE DEMO & COMMUNITY MEETUP

From August 26 to 30, you can find us at the Indie Arena Booth (Hall 10.2 / E019 – Booth S37) to chat with us devs and get an early hands-on with a section of GLASSHOUSE’s first official Steam Demo.

This year, seven members of FLAT28 will be there, from Art to Game Writing, ready to answer your questions, talk about the development of the game and, why not, join you for a cigarette break between halls.

The Gamescom Demo Preview is just a small taste of what you’ll all be able to play later in the official Steam Demo.

This build includes:

  • 45 minutes of gameplay

  • 2 combat scenarios

  • 3 different endings

  • Combat System v1.7

  • Completely redesigned Dialogue Tab

  • Redesigned and expandable Inventory

  • Portrait upgrade

  • Overhauled tutorial

  • Redesigned QTEs

  • A major juice & polish pass, with substantial improvements to UX and game feel

  • Significantly improved graphical performance

To avoid spoiling the surprise for those who can’t make it to Cologne, the Gamescom Demo Preview will feature only half of the content planned for the future public release of the Demo.

NEW TRAILER [AWESOME INDIES SHOWCASE]

A big announcement deserves a big stage: this year, we’re thrilled to be taking part in IGN’s Awesome Indies Showcase with a World Premiere!

Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard on a brand-new trailer packed with never-before-seen gameplay, featuring footage from both the Prologue and Act 2.

It’s a particularly dense Gameplay Trailer that, hopefully, will give you a much broader look at the long-term vision behind the cRPG we’ve been working tirelessly on for the past 4 years.

The showcase goes live on August 27 at 8:00 PM CEST - you can watch it here:

JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER!

In preparation for our future Kickstarter campaign, we’ve decided to launch our very own newsletter!

Sign up HERE to receive development updates, promotional goodies, and early access to upcoming GLASSHOUSE builds. We’re not serial spammers, we promise.

With a little extra firepower from the funding we received through the Neowiz Indie Quest, we’re working on a proper, full-fledged Kickstarter campaign, with all the bells and whistles. We can’t wait to start revealing everything we have planned for late 2026 and early 2027.

That’s all for today! We hope to meet some of you at Gamescom, or see you tuned in on the 27th for the Awesome Indies Showcase.

We’ve still got plenty of bullets left in the chamber before GTA VI comes out. Promise.– Giacomo Montagnoli, Creative Director, FLAT28 Collective
