First of all

Thanks to everyone playing Game Store Chronicle and sharing your feedback with us. Your support means a lot and helps us keep improving the game.

GSC has already exceeded all of our expectations, and we are incredibly happy with everything that is happening. We will keep working hard to deliver new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

Our goal is to keep a constant evolution: a simulator where you can live and feel the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s, but this time from the other side of the counter.

We are listening to our community, following everything we have worked on last week based on what we saw on game's reviews, game hub discussions and discord chat.

What's new?

  1. We have added display booths for all 8 consoles in the game;

  2. GSC Mod Studio is available on our website (https://imponix.com). You can download it and try it! It's a standalone app where you can create your own mod and apply it to GSC and, if you want, you can send it to our Steam Workshop. By doing this, players can share their favorite mods with the community. If you have questions, you can access our Discord server to ask.

Language Support

  1. German support - German speakers, please, if you find something, let us know. That also applies to any other language if you find errors.

Adjustments

  1. Tutorial has changed, no automatic popups anymore. Now it will show a bell on the top-right, then you press C or DPad Up to open the popup, when you want. Do not forget, the commands list, at the bottom-left, they can haver the answer if you don't know how to do something;

  2. Giving change to customers makes more sense now, no more crazy customers paying $13 for a $12 bill. But stay attentive to not make mistakes;

  3. We've changed the way you access reports. Now you have some report sheets on the counter, besides the catalog. Why? Now, in the radial menu where they were, you can access the Gamedex, making it a lot easier to pick posters to customize your store;

  4. Now there is a config where you can hide the commands list on the bottom-left, if you know everything you can have a cleaner HUD;

  5. Notifications about customers and the store stay 2s more on screen;

  6. Removed the evil HAHA, that people hate. There are still noises, but we looking for new ones;

  7. Now you can look, pretty much, straight down, making it easier to mop and pick garbage;

  8. When the player open the front door, it stays open until it's manually closed. If it was opened by customer it will close automatically.

Bug fixes

  1. UV of window walls fixed;

  2. When you are holding an empty box the customers are complaining;

  3. Sometimes the delivery was missing boxes;

  4. Fulfill pre made orders when applying "Insta Delivery" boost;

  5. Insta Delivery was not stacking the amount of days if you picked it in sequence;

  6. Customers, sometimes, were walking in place;

  7. Some players had issues when they were rotating the camera, noticing some stuttering. A little change was done for that, let's see if it's better;

  8. When the player was "aiming" a shelf slot from behind the wall and interact it was grabbing a product. That was causing problems when you had a shelf on the store room wall. That is fixed now;

  9. Sometimes garbage and floor stain were appearing outside or under the rug at the front door. Not supposed to happen anymore. (Let me know...these customers...)

What's next?

As discussed on our Discord server over the past week, the next major feature we’ll be adding to Game Store Chronicle is the highly requested STAFF HIRING system.

As we said from the beginning, we are listening to the community. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working on a system that allows store owners to hire employees to help run their stores.

We’ll be posting details and progress updates on Discord as development moves forward, so we highly recommend joining our server. There, you’ll find the latest news, talk directly with us — all 2 devs 😂 — ask the community questions, share pictures of your stores, and more.

Once again, thank you for all your support, feedback, and for being part of this dream.

Back to the counter. There’s still work to do.
