V1.5.0 Decked Out!

The Decked Out Update Is Here!

It's finally time for the major update all about customization! There are a lot of fun things in this update to give player's even more creative control over their bots. I have been joking that Explosive Odds is now a robot dress up game... But we hope you all have fun creating your dream bot. Plus we now have Steam Workshop for faces!! I have seen a lot of really great faces, so if you want to share yours with the world that option is now here. With the addition of blinking and custom face emotes you can get even more creative with it.
We also added a bunch of new costumes from the winners of our costume suggestion contest we held in our Discord! See the patch notes below for the details on which were added and credits.
In addition to the new content the game is now available in French and Finnish! Huge thank you to Mathieu St-Amour and B. Suorsa respectively for all the work they did to get this done!

V1.5.0 Patch Notes

• Blinking Frame

  • Added an additional eye frame for blinking.

  • Bots will blink randomly every 3-8 seconds, or when being hit by a bottle.

  • You can also manually blink by pressing or holding the 'N' key.

  • This should make the bots feel more alive and allow for some extra expression!

• Costume Stacking

  • This new system allows for players to equip multiple costumes of the same type so long as they don't have conflicting subtypes.

  • New subtypes: Head Top Front, Head Top Back, Head Face, Head Side, Body Back, Body Neck, Body Chest, Hand Ring, Hand Fingers, Hand Held.

  • All costumes have one or more subtypes.

  • Even more customization to get the perfect fit! Or make it look like you rolled around in the bargain bin.

• Costume Coloring

  • Many costumes can now be colored.

  • There is a new costume color menu in costume equip UI.

  • Costumes with a blue palette icon are colorable.

  • Color coordinate your fit! Or make it look like you rolled around in the paint section of a hardware store.

• Photobooth

  • The customize menu now has a photobooth accessed via the camera icon button.

  • Adjust camera angle, distance, and other settings.

  • Can set different poses in main menu photobooth.

  • Photobooth pictures will be saved as a steam screenshot.

  • Perfect for taking fun pics with friends or making profile pictures.

• Steam Workshop Support

  • Upload your faces to the steam workshop!

  • Download and equip faces from the steam workshop!

  • Share your creations with the world!

• Custom Face Emotes

  • Up to 8 saved faces may now be favorited.

  • Favorited faces will now appear in the emote menu.

  • These function similar to the other emotes in changing your face for a second but won't be sent to chat.

  • Now you can express whatever strange emotions you need.

• Improved Costume UI

  • Can now collapse categories in the costume equip UI.

  • Can sort by specific subtype in costume equip UI.

  • New clear all equipped button in costume equip UI.

  • Can hide owned costumes in shop UI.

  • Can filter costumes by main type in shop UI.

  • Selecting an already equipped costume will unequip it.

• Misc. Tweaks and Fixes

  • Can now add spaces or special characters to display name.

  • The undo button on face whiteboards will now redo if clicked again.

  • Default face sprites are now loaded to whiteboards initially.

  • Costume presets updated to work with stacking and coloring. Old presets are still loadable but may have different colors.

  • Tweaked bombslot handle costume change timing.

  • Fixed the X not properly clearing costumes.

  • Various other small misc. UI improvements and fixes.
