Update notes for version 1.1 Build 140
What's new in this release you ask? Here comes the list:
First and foremost we added Steam support and Steam achievements to the game.
With Steam support we can also add a cloud save directory to assure you'll never lose a save game and you can keep your save games and achievement stats across Steam devices! This will be configured shortly
All help texts (start menu and ingame help) are revamped and now show graphical icons and are split for the common input devices (keyboard/mouse, controller, Steam Deck)
Some missing info texts for enemies, traps and bosses were added
The NPCs now have some more lore text
The credits got new info for Kenneys icons and Facepunch steamworks
We replaced the Black Mines tileset (of course drawn by Thomas the pixel artist)
We gave the Mining Corp. control consoles some nice flair
The hidden wizard mode was removed from the full version and is only available in our internal developer version - sorry...
The photon mace got nerfed - it was way too powerful. Sorry for that too...
We gave the laser gun a wonderful colored beam instead of bullets and we think it looks way better now!
To enhance this eye candy we also pleased your ears with a new sound effect for firing the laser gun
The pickaxe got a new swing animation and a little swing sound if you just hit the air
Your hitpoint and armor indicators in the HUD start blinking when your health or armor gets dangerously low
And you'll hear the "player is hurt" sound even when wearing an armor and some damage is consumed by the armor. This will increase your feedback when you're hit at all
Theralite is a traditional roguelike so we removed some "easy cheat ways"...Again, sorry
We delete the save file when you start a new game or when the game is over
Should you play on the Desktop in windowed mode, pressing the "X" to close the window means quitting the game and we delete your save file
Should you die in the game we delete your save file
That's pretty much it for this release. The next release will contain different player classes with different stats! Stay tuned! Oh and of course have a lot of fun with the new release, Thomas and Thomas
