Hello everyone, this is Guri, the Object Illustrator for the SONAK: Story Design Project. I design the items and objects tucked away throughout the Study, adding small traces of story to every corner.
In our last record, we shared the story of how Ru — trapped on a contaminated beach — happened to meet Penny, who was visiting the island by chance, and made her escape with her help. Ru had planned to reveal that she was a half-elf, but Penny’s unexpected remark stopped her from saying it! 😂 Will these two truly come to trust each other and become real friends?
While looking through the Study, we happened to discover some photos thatgive us a closer look at their story. Shall we take a look together?

From Ru saying farewell to the staff of the Sapidus Restaurant, to Penny freely sailing across the vast ocean —
each photo captures a piece of their everyday life and adventures, making it all the more delightful to look through. ☺️
A picture diary filled with colorful sea creatures in every shape and hue.
Perhaps she drew the creatures she saw with her own eyes, following her mother across the seas?
Her curious gaze and the still-unpolished drawing style really convey the pure heart of young Penny. 💕
If today we peeked into young Penny's picture diary, in two weeks we'll be looking at the Voyage Log kept by Penny herself — now a little more grown up. Look forward to seeing how a child's doodles evolved into something more, over the passage of time. ⚓📖
